Later that night I waited for him to fall asleep, neatly tucked into the bedsheets, I seriously wanted to give up and sleep peacefully. It had been so long since my body touched the surface of a cotton bed that all my stress just washed away. I knew he wanted to look after me like a little toddler, but that wasn’t me; I wanted to be independent, be strong, and most of all be the Star Knight.
