Chapter twenty seven

Ava was giddy as a child when the elevator door opened, she looped her hand with Lucian’s own and one who sees them would never believe that she was a package to be delivered. As they arrived at the party, it was merriment everywhere, people were drinking and dancing and chatting. Her eyes scanned everywhere and she couldn’t wait to be part of the fun.

“Ah mi gente,” someone said behind them and they turned to see Antonio, he was dressed in khaki and unbuttoned brown shirt, there was a glass of piña-colada in his hand and seeing it already made Ava’s mouth water, “I didn’t think you would come but I didn’t stop hoping,” he glanced at Ava and smiled, “you are looking very bonita, chica,” he winked.

“What should I say, thank you?” she asked with a smile, the way he had said it told her it was a compliment.
