Chapter 4

    They both glanced at each other before Hailey walked towards the door, she opened it and Liya came in, seeing Liya, Cora mind softened and relaxed a little bit.

“Aliya?.” Hailey called, this will be the first time she’ll be coming to their room without her friends and seeing how she looked like, she definitely came to check something. 

     Knowing Liya is not the really troublesome or obstacle to her, she let her in. “I’m only here to see Cora.” She said walking towards Cora before bending down to talk to her.

“I saw you Cora, I saw you walk in and out of that room with a bottle and treatment in your hand. ” She said , Cora cleared her throat before pushing her away.

“So what evidence do you have, since we aren’t allowed to use phone, I’m sure you weren’t able to record so why coming here, to threaten me or tell me you’ll tell Lily so she can set me up with this.” She asked her though she was scared within.

   Hailey was not able to hear what they were talking about so she tried moving closer but stopped when she remember something, “I’m coming guys, I forgot something at master Don’s room.” She said and quickly went out.

     Liya smiles and tapped Cora’s shoulder in disagreement, “No, I’m not here to threaten you, I’m here to tell you to be careful, no one will save you not even master Sword if you decide to go against master Don.” Liya before leaving the room, Cora heaved a sign of relief seeing she’s gone.

«Don’s secret room»

     Don stepped in and walked towards a door, he pressed a code before it was able to unlock. He walked in after it was unlock.

    A woman was sitting on a chair, her back facing the door, and she was reading a particular novel which look exactly the same like the one Cora was reading.

     She dropped the novel and face Don, her face strict with no sign of Don being welcome. “What are you finding here?.” She asked him, Don sat down on the chair facing her.

“I found them.” Hearing his statement, the woman eyes shook in fear, her eyes trickled as tears threatened to fall out, she opened her mouth to talk but nothing came out.

“And they have a daughter.” He paused and chuckled before turning it to laugh, he was laughing like a maniac but when he stopped, there was tears in his eyes too. “You feel sorry for them again, I haven’t started.” 

“Don...” She was interrupted by him. “Please, don’t call my name, haven’t they hide for long, do you know the consequence of what they did, do you know what it lead to, just look at me, do you? But of course you do.” 

       She sighed out, “This wasn’t the little boy I took care of since young, you became a monster I don’t know since you turned 17, what are you? Where is the Donald I trained since he lost his parents.” That was her question, he didn’t bother answering her before standing up to go out, he stopped at the door to look at her before uttering, “The name is Don not Donald.” He said and walked out thereafter.

“Donald, let the young girl go, she has no fault in this, Donald.” The woman cried heavily.

«Outside»

       As soon as Don stepped out, he met Hailey who was shivering in fear, she was standing in front of the door and listening to all their conversations.

      Don stared at her, not surprise but angry, “What are you doing here?.” He asked her, she shook her head unable to say anything, he grabbed her by her neck and pushed her to wall which injured her a lot.

“What are you doing here I say?.” He shouts angrily, she used her hand to support trying to get herself out of his grip but it was too tight for her, “Please.” She managed to say.

       He dropped her on the floor and took out his gun, pointing it at her, he hold for a while, “Get out.” He said the unbelievable, she widened her eyes, “I wouldn’t want to repeat myself, get out.” He said, she quickly stood up and almost opened the door when he added.

“You are no longer my personal maid, inform your head maid, any day I see you here, in my suite, I’ll kill you.” That was his last statement, she quickly ran away before he will say another word.

   When she got outside, she walked far away before stopping, “What was that I heard? Who was that woman in the room?.” Though desperate, she couldn’t see the woman’s face and was curious to find out more.

      She tapped her head frustrated, “He dismissed me as his personal maid already, how will I be able to enter the room without him suspecting, aiiish.”

      She left there walking to her room, she didn’t meet anyone and started pacing to and fro from one angle to another, “Yes, I know what I can do, I just have to lay low till I find out who will be chosen as his new personal maid, I’m very sure the person won’t survive for long.” She smiles then went to her bed.

“Where did Cora went to again, God I need to start packing my luggages, will those stupid maids start disrespecting me again.”

    Being a former personal assistant of Don, she’ll be privileged to have her own personal room and might be lucky to secure a post in the higher maid class.

      She seemed to have forgotten she was in a ruthless gang because of her post and not making mistake since she started working for Don.

    The door opened and Cora walked in holding a flask which seem empty, she seemed to have taken the food to Viola to eat again. Seeing Hailey packing her luggages, she asked, “Where are you going?.”
