Chapter 3

“The head maid asked her to come with me to help me out since I was sick, she believed I wouldn’t be able to clean the room all by myself.” Hailey said calmly, Don stare at the both of them once more before walking into the inner room.

    Sword glanced at Cora and winked at her before asking her to go together with Hailey. That was them, always flirting everywhere and anywhere.

   Since they’ve been ordered to go, they both finished their clean up and took the instrument out to the store room, they are both sleeping in the same room.

    The room was called section room before the name was changed to higher standards maid, since they are the only personal maids, the both of them are the only one allowed into the room and also allowed to do anything with it.

     No one can enter without the two bosses permission so the remaining maids are also scared of Cora and Hailey except the head maid and Catherine and her minions, Lily and Liya.

    Due to Cora jovial attitude, the maids were able to relate with her , Lily, one of Catherine minion always believed she was supposed to be Sword’s personal maid and not Cora.

       While Catherine wanted Don all to herself, Liya has a crush on Sky but he has never spare her a glance and that was the main reason she had joined Catherine group, maybe he’ll notice her this way.

    As they were both going, Cora excused herself and went back to the kitchen, she looked around and when she was sure no one was around, she took the aid box and a lap of chicken she kept in the morning plus a bottle of water.

   She quickly hide it before going through the lane of the underground door, she opened the door and went in making sure to lock it from the inside, she switched on the light but dimmed it.

      Seeing Viola’s helpless condition, she couldn’t help but feel sad for her, she carefully cleaned her wound and helped her to make her bed more properly, though no cloth but the bed stand is now holding the bed quite well.

   Viola woke up after she was done and almost shout but Cora was fast enough to use her palm to cover her mouth, “Shhhh, you’ll implicate me if you shout.” She said which made Viola looked well, seeing it was a girl, she relaxed.

    Cora handed her the chicken lap and the water and watched her eat rushly and hungrily, “You must be so hungry.” She smiles showing her dimples, Viola smiles back softly seeing this.

“Won’t you be in trouble if you are caught...” She was interrupted by Cora, “You don’t need to worry, I’m safe, no one will suspect me if you don’t act suspicious and even if you do, they wouldn’t point at Sword’s personal maid.” She said boasting playing, Viola laughed.

“What’s your name?.” She asked after some minutes of silence, Cora stared as though she’s could hear something.

“Wait, I’m Cora , I have to go now, I could hear some sounds.” She said quickly standing up to go.

      She collected the bottle of water from her since she already finished drinking it and quickly went out, she disposed the bottle and walked towards her room but unknown to her, Liya saw her as she was walking out which made her wonder what she was doing there.

   Cora got into her room and met Hailey sitting in front of the mirror doing make up, that was her hobby, she knew how much Hailey loved doing make up and styling hair but she can only do the make up in the room and isn’t allowed to take it out except when there’s a party in the clan.

   She’s lucky to have most of the female members as her friends because of the make up she’s doing so she do make up for them and also style their hair whenever there’s a party.

“Where are you coming from Cora?.” She asked as soon as Cora stepped in, Cora comported herself and tried to act as natural as possible, she wasn’t expecting her to ask her this kind of question.

“I’m sure you’ve never asked me this kind of question before talkless of me answering to it.” She shrugged before going to sit on her bed.

“I know you Cora, you have a motive of not coming straight to the room after the exhausting work you did in master’s room, you are the type that get tired easily after an exhausting work.” Hailey said, she quickly changed the word before Hailey would suspect anything.

“As far as I am concerned, you’ve distanced yourself from me so I don’t think you know me that much to tell me I get tired after doing an exhausting work, i could remember I’ve changed so don’t stress me.” She said, Hailey looked back to glance at her before staring at the mirror again.

“Be careful, they are watching you, I’m sure you know Lily is watching out for any mistake you might make so she can attack you and become Sword’s personal maid...” Cora interrupted her.

Frowning deeply, she said, “I’m not interested in any fucking competition about who will serve the big boss, my aim and goal is to survive and leave here in peace and good health with my loved ones though I know some are dead but I believe so keep your competition to yourself.” 

She went to sit on her bed after taking the novel she was reading from the table. Hailey stood up after she was done, “What do you think?.” She asked her.

Cora stared at her and nod in agreement, “You are getting even much better but don’t you think that is too flashy for the light make up you just did.” She point at the red strawberry lip gloss Hailey used.

Hailey was about replying when they heard a knock on the door, Cora heart skipped a bit hearing the knock.
