CHAPTER 18: THE CRASHED

Escaping the SUV didn’t come easy. It was handy job, no matter how much Eliot tried harder.

“Damn it!” He cursed.

For an instance, he maneuvered the car in front of a ten wheeler truck, driving across to the same car that he have, but the driver seems to have its eyes fixated across to them. He never lose sight of Eliot and Raquel. The chase continued.

“Can’t you lose him?” Raquel bit her lips, her eyes are filled with fear.

“I am already trying, but this bastard won’t just let us off easily.” Eliot gritted his teeth.

He was losing his patience easily.

“What are we going to do—”

That’s when her phone rings.

RINGS.

She turned her head away from Eliot to look at however may be trying to call her at this moment, only for her heart to skip a bit. It did not flutter. The name cause her anxiety to rise up on her nape.

It’s David.

Eliot could see her reaction on his peripheral vision. He have a feeling who it was.

“Don’t answer it.”

It is David. Raquel’s husband.
