*Third Person's Pov*
"Your Majesty, a bad news just came in from the University," the king's butler said to the king as soon as he entered the throne room. The king is currently reading some appeals from his people while her beautiful wife is checking the reports from the governors of the different provinces of Citrine.
Both the king and queen stopped doing their things when they heard the butler's words. It has been days since they sent their daughter to study in the university and it's their first time to receive a news from there. Probably it's something really important.
"What news is it Caflon?" the king asked. While the queen is listening intently to their conversation.
"It's about the princess!" the butler nervously stated.
"What about our daughter?" the queen blurted out.
"The princess was bitten by a venomous snake," he started to explain.
"What? How could a snake like that enter the university?" the king asked angrily. While the queen bursted out in tears.
"Oh my daughter, my poor daughter," she said while crying. The king hurriedly went near his crying wife to embrace her.
"Don't worry honey, she will be fine. Our daughter is a strong girl. She will overcome that venom," he said to comfort her. But the queen cried even more.
For years she have prayed for a daughter and it was an answered prayer for her when she found princess Ana Mae in the middle of the woods. She removed the longing in her heart and have replaced it with love. Because of her she was able to understand the feeling of being a mother, and what it feels like to have such a loving and caring child like her.
"Promise me that you will do something to save her! Promise me!" she begged the king while crying. The king lovingly kissed the top of her head and slowly wipe her tears using his bare hands.
"I promise my dear wife, I will do everything to save our daughter!" the king promised to his wife.
After receiving the news they hurriedly went to the university to check on their daughter. "Attention! His Majesty King Arthur and her royal highness Queen Maurice has arrived!" the head guard announced for everyone to pay their respects to the king and queen. Everyone bowed down their heads as the king and queen walk towards the direction of the infirmary. Before they could enter, they were greeted by the headmaster who's breathing heavily because of too much nervousness. The queen looked at him angrily.
"Your Majesty we're very sorry for what happened to the princess. But we assure you the doctors are doing their best to save her," the headmaster explained as soon as the king and queen approached him.
"Surely you have to do everything to make sure that our daughter is safe from that venom Carlos. Or else I will personally behead you and hung your lifeless body in the market to serve as a lesson for everyone!" the queen warned him. The headmaster swallowed the lump in his throat after hearing what the queen just told him. It was obviously a threat and he knows that she's capable of doing it."Your highness, I'm very sorry for disappointing you but I swear to you that this would be the last time. And I'm going to make sure that the princess will go back to you healthy and safe," he explained.
"Your negligence will lead us to a more troublesome future. I entrusted my daughter to you because I believe that you're a responsible man and that you will look after her. But it turned out that I was wrong. My daughter is not just a princess, she is a crown princess! The successor to the throne and the future of this land! If we lost her now, then you have to prepare for a bad future!" the king said angrily before they walked pass the headmaster who's having a lot of regrets in his mind. He's blaming himself for what happened.
"How could I let that happen Julian?" he asked his assistant. "How could I let a snake wander around my university and bit the princess?""Sir, it was not your fault. It was an accident! You never wished for it to happen," Julian said to comfort him. "But it happened inside the princess's room. A closed room that's supposed to be secured from wild animals.""You're right sir. It was a closed room and it should be a safe place. How could a snake like that enter?" Julian wondered as well."There is something wrong with this incident. And we need to figure out everything. I will surely kill that bastard who tried to kill the princess in my territory putting all the blame on me!" the headmaster blurted out angrily while clenching his fists.
Then they both left the place so they could start investigating.
While Prince Lyndon and Princess Diane who were secretly listening to their conversation felt the urge to investigate the matter as well.
"Who would dare to do such thing to the crown princess?" Prince Lyndon asked in disbelief. Princess Diane just shrugged her shoulders."Maybe someone who envy her, someone who have an eye in her position," Diane stated."I heard she has a cousin studying here as well. Maybe she planned everything to get rid of Ana Mae!""We must not jump into conclusions and blame someone automatically. We need to look for evidences showing that our suspensions are true," Princess Diane told him."Where do we start then?" he asked while stroking his imaginary beard."To where the incident happened of course. We must find an evidence there!" The Prince smiled with the princess's brilliant idea."You never failed to amuse me," he said with a wink. The princess then glared at him."Stop flirting with me Lyndon! We both know it's forbidden to fall in love with an heir from another kingdom!" she warned him. The prince just chuckled and waggled his brows. "As you wish your highness," he said mockingly while faking a bow.
"Let's go, we need to sneak inside Ana Mae's room and find the evidence as fast as we could!"
They hurriedly went to Princess Ana Mae's room and started to scan the whole place. They carefully closed the door so that nobody will see them.Princess Diane checked the bed sheets while Prince Lyndon checked the bathroom.
"Do we need to turn this whole place up and down just to look for evidence?" the prince joked as soon as he went out of the bathroom after checking it."Stop talking nonsense Lyndon! We need to atleast do something to help. A traitor is walking around freely, probably hiding behind a generous smile. And it's really dangerous for all of us. Whoever this traitor is, he or she needs to be punished for what she did to the princess!" Diane explained while checking the pillows one by one.
Prince Lyndon just shrugged his shoulders and tried to check on the floor. He continues to search until he noticed something sparkling underneath the princess's bed. He took it and was surprised to see that it was an amulet."An amulet with a name engraved in it!" he said while showing the amulet to Princess Diane."Let me see!"
Prince Lyndon gave it to her and Diane read the name that was engraved in it.
"Princess Amira Villashne?" she asked with full curiosity."Amira Villashne is the second princess of Citrine. She's the cousin of Ana Mae that I was telling you earlier!" Lyndon explained."Then, it could be her! Your assumptions were true.""She has her motives to do such thing. She obviously wants the throne for herself. The only thing that we should do right now is to ask the famous snake hunter in town. Amira might not have catched that snake on her own, since it's really dangerous. She might have paid someone to do it for her. And the first person that comes to my mind is the snake hunter who lives in the middle of the woods!" Prince Lyndon explained."Then we need to see that person immediately. Amira needs to be punished for her actions!" Princess Diane said then they left to see the snake hunter.
*Third Person's Pov* As soon as they entered the infirmary, the queen's heart were torn apart when she saw her daughter's state. She's laying on a bed with bruises in her once fair white skin. Her pinkish lips turned pale and her golden hair almost fade it's glow."My daughter," she said in the middle of her tears. She caressed her daughter's cheeks who were as pale as her lips."Mommy is here my princess you don't have to be afraid."She held her daughter's left hand and gently kisses the top of it."Maurice, she will be fine," the king said to comfort his wife. He held his daughter's hand as well and kisses her forehead."Their will never be light in our lives if we lost you darling. So please wake up and come back to us. We beg you." The king wasn't able to stop himself from crying.
Princess Diane's Pov; It's almost dark when we found the hunter's home. Unlike the other side of the forest, the area where his house is located looks lively. I could hear some birds singing, squirrels roaming around and some ducks swimming on the lake near his small house. "Are you sure this is the hunter's lodge?" I asked Lyndon. It's really hard for me to believe that a strange snake hunter would live in this place. I mean, this place looks exactly like a happy home where a happy family could live freely. It might be far from the city but this place is actually the place where I want to stay whenever I'm stressed with palace duties. "Surely this is! I could still remember the scenario I have
Queen Maurice's Pov; "Your highness the venom is starting to circulate in her body. Even her bones were starting to go weaker because of it," the royal physician explained as soon as he's done checking my poor daughter. My feet suddenly felt weak and my tears were unstoppable. I almost fall to the ground, it's a good thing that Kaira is standing behind me and she was able to catch me before I even fall. "Your highness, the princess will recover. She's a strong girl, I'm pretty sure she will fight for her life," she assured me. "I agree with Kaira your highness. I have known the princess for years and I already know how brave she is," the royal physician said, trying to lighten up the burden in my heart. &nbs
*Queen Maurice's Pov;* "Where is that snake hunter?" my husband asked while clenching his jaw. As if on cue the palace door opened and a tall man in his mid 50's started walking towards our direction. Judging from the way he walks and how his shoulders tremble, I could hardly tell that he's nervous. "Your majesty-" He wasn't able to continue his words because the king approached him and punched his face. "How dare you trade my daughter's life for money? Don't you know how much this land would suffer if we lost her? This land will no longer see the light of the day!" he shouted angrily. "I'm so sorry your majesty, but please let me explain first," the man begged. I stood up from my seat and went to my husband. "Hon, let him spea
*Princess Anatalia's Pov* My blood boiled after hearing my brother's words. He will demote my daughter and kick her out of Citrine? How could he do this to my Amira! I walked as fast as I could to the carriage that's waiting for me outside the palace. I will never let them succeed on their plans against my daughter. I will make them experience my wrath! "Where are we going your highness?" my lady-in-waiting asked me as soon as I steeped out of the palace gates. "We are going to the secret council Masha," I told her while clenching my jaw. "And inform my daughter about her punishment. Send someone to the university and never let her go back to the palace while we are still fixing things!"
*Third Person's Pov* When the night came, the rebels started to march from the capital to the palace. They brought torches to light their way and everyone is dressed in full battle gear. "Tonight is the night that we are going to change history!" their leader shouted. "Victory is ours!" everyone chanted. When they reach the palace they tried to break the gates by putting fire on it. The palace guards were alarmed. They started to fire arrows to the rebels. Arrows fall like rain from the sky hitting some of them. Blood and fire scattered everywhere. Some of the rebels died in an instant while the others were wounded. But despite of the casualties th
*Prince Zion's Pov* I stared at the white ceiling of my room. Days already passed since that incident, yet here I am still fighting this feeling that's starting to grow inside me. My heart tells me to visit her and see if she's already okay but my mind keeps telling me the other way around. It never stops reminding me that she is the reason why I'm here acting as the Prince of Etheor. My mission is to kill her, but instead I have fallen deeply and madly inlove with her. So deep that I think I'm already drowning with the thought of protecting her and disobey my father. "I know what you're thinking," Stefan suddenly spoke while resting his chin on his hands. I glared at him. "So you're now a wizard that knows how to read minds?"
*Third Person's Pov* Prince Zion and Stefan used teleportation spell to reach the palace. They went straight to the princess's room. "Stefan, use invisibility spell and stay outside. Notify me if somebody is coming," Prince Zion told Stefan. "Yes your highness." He bowed down his head and chanted the invisibility spell. Then he left the room, leaving prince Zion alone with the princess. He walks towards the direction of the princess who's peacefully sleeping on her bed. He stared at her for a second and his tears started swelling in his eyes. He caress his beloved's face. "My beauti
