First Person's POV;

"ZION!" I heard Diane screaming Zion's name. She must've been worried about him but the big question in my mind right now is, why would Zion risk his life to protect me?

I stared at his eyes but still I could not see any emotion from it. He's still as cold as ice.

"Your highness ,you better not forget our mission. Don't be so careless, or you might get yourself killed," Stefan said and Zion automatically let go of me. It's as if he was burned or something.

"Are you okay Ana?" Diane asked as she hurriedly run towards me.

Lyndon and Leanna did the same thing and they started checking if I got wounds or bruises.

"I'm fine guys, you don't have to worry about me," I told them with a smile.

The three of them stared at Zion with confusions written all over their faces. They were probably thinking on why the hell would Zion save my life, when he's obviously one of our enemies wishing for my death. Well, I wonder the same thing though. Maybe it's because he loves me the same as I do to him? I know I shouldn't jump into conclusions yet because I might hurt my own feelings, but I can't help but think that way. I mean a lot of girls would think that way too, if they were in my position.

"Don't think too much my dear cousin, I'm sure Zion saved you because he thinks that you deserve a more brutal death than this, right darling?" Amira clung to Zion's arms and glared at me.

"Stop being so clingy Amira!" he told her and removed her hands. We literally laugh when we saw the frustrations on Amira's face.

"Forget about the white oracles because we will not let you have them!" Leanna yelled.

"Do you think they will show themselves to you, just because you have that kid?" Stefan mockingly said. "Those white oracles are too selfish to risk their safety just to save someone from their race! They would rather lose that kid rather than getting themselves involved into trouble. They are all selfish, that's the main reason why they isolated themselves from everyone!" he added with a smirk.

Amira smirked as well before they disappeared together with Zion.

"Do you really think they're right? I mean, the white oracles practically isolated themselves from everyone for one reason. And that is all because they are too selfish to sacrifice themselves for the immortal world," Diane said with frustrations written all over her face.

"I agree with Diane, maybe Stefan was right. I mean they wouldn't isolate themselves from the world if they weren't that selfish!" Lyndon blurted out as well.

"We can't just judge them just because of the words of a black wizard. We all know how much they want us to fail in saving both the mortal and immortal world," I told them. Who knows, maybe he's just trying to trick us.

"Princess Ana's right! We don't know them personally and besides we haven't heard the real story on why they decided to live far from everyone. We can't just jump into conclusions!" Leanna added to my words.

"Well, I guess you're both right. Probably I was just over thinking," Diane uttered while scratching her head a bit.

I removed the barrier from the child who's now staring at us with a confused expression.

"Don't be afraid of us, okay?" Lyndon said to her using a calm tone.

"Yeah, we won't bite." We all chuckled after hearing what Diane just told the child.

"So, now are you ready to tell us where your home is?" I asked her nicely.

She slightly nod that made us all smile. Finally, our mission won't fail this time.

She walked closer to a big stone located under one of the pear trees and we just followed her silently.

She chanted a spell causing the stone to move, and we saw a hole underneath it.

"How will we get in?" Diane asked and as if on cue, a golden ladder appeared.

"I guess we've found the answer immediately," I chuckled.

"Everyone might hate me for bringing you to our home, but I fully trust you. I know you won't do anything to harm us," she told us with a smile.

"We know, and we thank you for trusting us," I told her as well. We smiled at her before we let her lead the way.

At first, it was a quite dark tunnel but as we walk farther we saw tiny lights coming from small cottages.

The place was dark, but the lights from the cottages were like stars shining in the night sky.

"This is my home!" she said proudly as we reached the small village. We saw some children running around but they ran away after seeing us.

"Olivia!" A woman with a curly white hair called out and the girl who helped us in coming here automatically run towards her. We figured out her name was Olivia.

"Where have you been? I told you not to go out alone!" she scolded Olivia and when she diverted her gaze to us ,she became more mad. "And you brought some strangers!"

I walked closer to them to explain ourselves and for them to know that we are not here to harm them.

"I'm sorry if we came here unannounced, and we know that you forbid others to enter your place. But we are not here to hurt you," I explained. She raised her brow and stared at me with a mad expression.

"Mom, they saved me from the dark immortals who tried to kidnap me," Olivia explained but her mom did not listen to her.

"Who knows if they just did it so they could use you and enter our place! Did you know how much trouble you could get us into?" she yelled at the poor child.

"Ma'am it's not her fault. We insisted on coming here and Olivia has nothing to do with it," I told her. "It is true that we saved her, but it's not our intention to use her. We came here because we need your help and to save you from Velion."

"Save us? Or to save yourselves? We have been living a peaceful life for years already and we achieved it because we isolated ourselves from everyone. Do you think we would still be here if we did not decide to do it?" she barked at me.

"Of course you would still live up to now even if you did not isolate yourselves from everyone! The Gods and Goddesses will protect all of you!" I told her, and to my surprise she laughed hard.

"Those Gods and Goddesses know nothing but to pamper themselves. They don't actually care about normal immortals like us," she snapped.

"How could you say that? They are doing everything just to keep everyone safe."

"Oh really? Then why the hell would they sacrifice our lives just to keep the chosen one safe? Is it because we are nothing compared to a deity like her, so her life is more valuable than us?"

I froze because of her words. Is it true that their lives were sacrificed because of me? I thought the Gods and Goddesses weren't selfish, but how could they trade innocent lives just to protect me? Is it really the reason why the white oracles hid themselves in here, because they were afraid of being sacrificed?

*First Person's POV* Just as when I was about to blame myself, Leanna spoke, "No madame! The Gods did not sacrifice all of you!" The woman diverted her gaze to her. "And how did you know?" she asked while raising her left brow. "Because I'm one of the servants of the Gods. I am the guardian of the chosen one, and I know the whole story," Leanna stated while the woman stared at her with wide eyes. "So you're one of their accomplices? And you planned all of this just to know our whereabouts and sacrifice our lives once again? I really can't believe that the Gods could be that selfish! "No! I just want you to know the truth!" "We already know what the truth is!" the woman insisted."When we met the dark immortals earlier they told us that the reason why you hid yourselves down here, is that you are all selfish. But I did not believe them, because I don't want to judge someone without even knowing the truth. I just hope you will do the same with the God

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 43

*First Person's Pov*Our journey to the North side of the forest lasted for two dark days. We were all exhausted when we reach the pear plantation. The place was serene and just like the other side of the forest, we did not see even a single animal walking around. All we could see through the tiny light of the moon are tall pear trees with fruits shining as it's touched by the moonlight."How are we going to find the white oracles here? All that's here are pear trees," Diane said frustratingly."Haven't you heard what Leanna told us before we came here? Pears are what the white oracles eat. So I'm pretty sure we're going to find one here!" Lyndon told Diane with a glare. I can't believe these two are starting to have their quarrels again."Guys please just be quite. We're not trying to let them know we're here and run off, aren't we?" I hushed them out."Sorry Ana, it just that there's some grinch over here!" Diane rolled her eyes at Lyndon."So you dare to say that I'm a grinch?

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 42;

*First Person's POV*Just by looking into his eyes I realised how much I've longed for him. And in a split second I found myself drowning in the valley of his gaze as I danced with the rhythm of my heart. I don't need a love like Romeo and Juliet's, nor of Edward and Bella. What I want is a unique and pure love whom I can call my own."Zion," I mumbled as the wind gently blows, touching his face. He stared at me emotionless, it's as if he doesn't even know who I am. How come? I thought our love was unforgettable. But it seems like I'm the only one who thinks that way."Oh my dear cousin." I was pulled out from my fantasies when I heard my cousin's voice."Amira? What are you doing here?" I asked her in disbelief. Don't tell me, that she and Zion came here together? My questions were answered when she clung to Zion's arms and smirked at me."Oh my dear cousin, it seems like you have fallen in love with someone you don't know," she told me with a smirk."What are you talking about

*Third Person's POV*"That chosen one is starting to piss me off!" Velion shouted angrily after receiving the news from the raven he sent to follow Princess Ana Mae."I did not know that they could easily know the secret on how to defeat those spirit knights," Amira said in disbelief. Velion stared at her angrily and she nervously swallowed the lump in her throat."And you! You're a coward! You should've fought with her instead of leaving those spirit knights alone!" he yelled at her. "You could've defeated her since I have given you a lot of powers. But you're still useless!""I'm sorry my king, I promise to do my job better next time. Just please don't punish me," she begged. She's too scared to be killed. She don't want to die without avenging her mom. Besides, all her efforts would be in vain if Velion would kill her now."Surely you will. Because if you fail this time, I will kill you without having a second thought," he warned her. "I promise my king, just tell me what you wan

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 40

*First Person's POV* The woods were covered with darkness and just like when we first entered this forest, we did not see even a single animal. Not even a chirp from a bird could be heard. "It's getting creepier in here," Diane whispered to me while biting her nail. It's some kind of mannerism for her whenever she fell nervous. "I know but we still have to travel to the North part of this forest. We need to find the white oracles as soon as possible," I told her. And with the tiny light from the moon, I saw her pout. "Yeah but don't you think we need to rest a bit? Those dark spirit knights drained all my strength," she complained which made me chuckle. "I think you're right. After all we're all exhausted after that intense fight ,we all deserve to rest," I agreed with her. "Let's look for a safe place to camp," Lyndon suggested. We all agreed and look for a safe place to stay. Leanna walked farther from us so she could check if the area is safe.
