Chapter Forty

Gwyneth's POV

After leaving the office, I trod my way out of the campus. This day was so stressful. How I hope tomorrow will bring me luck instead of misfortune. A lot of troubles happened to me this day, and I doubt I can handle if ever tomorrow will be worse compared today.

Instead of minding the bad luck, I remembered I still have something to do. I need to see Zaina, or maybe I’ll go and see her meeting with Maureen. That girl smells fishy, and I need to find out what’s her plan before diving in the circle.

I trod faster, making sure that I will be able to arrive in their meeting area before they leave. When I got out of the gate, I walk toward where crosswalk was and strides to the opposite way.

“Hey!” someone spoke behind me, making me glance over my shoulder. “Where are you going?” he asked.
