Conan and Amel came back with a large group of werewolves towing behind them, running after them with their angry growls befitting their status as beastmen. The intruders dared to bare their fangs to them.
Conan had been chased before by those stronger and in numbers. He ran fast, then either hid or found refuge. It was all he could do. He escaped every time without unnecessarily putting up a fight just because he had no confidence to do so.
He had training, for sure. But those moments the enemy chased after his brain on speed-mode, ultra-focused on the escape rather than to fight for his life.
