Both of them landed right in the middle of the nothingness. It was barren. Sand, rock, and cactus. That’s all.

It was a freaking desert.

“This is the right place.” Brown adjusted his mask.

Grey raised his arm into the air and pulled out his middle finger and felt the air.

“Why must that one?” Brown was tired of his antics.

“As long as I can do my work,” retorted Grey nonchalantly. “What about your situation?” Slightly turned his head at Brown.

“I have a clear vision.” Brown closed his eyes, feeling the movement underneath.

“How many?” He tilted his head.

Something was wrong. The weather felt wrong for some reason. The density of air was different than usual.

“Approximately 50 beastmen on each floor. I could be wrong.”

“And how many floors do they have?” He opened his eyes and stared at the sky.

“Approximately… three.”

Grey counted the clouds in the air. “Three? Are you sure?”

Brown tilted his head and set his jaw, feeling the vibration even the smallest one.
