Prologue

"I'll kill them all. All of them." He inhaled the snot aggressively.

"Malikul! Let's think this through, yeah?"

"I'll kill them!" Malikul held the still body tightly inside his arms. The manly tears rolled down his cheek.

"What are we gonna do? The fight was initiated by her?"

"Doesn't that mean they have to kill her?!" Malikul snapped at his friend. "Whose side are you on? Us or humans?"

"She is a human."

Malikul snapped his fingers. Soon, a strong wind flickered on his friend's forehead.

"Oi! That hurt, yeah."

"Shadow… Shadow… my Shadow…" Malikul repeated the name numerous times, kissing on top of their forehead with love.

"She will be okay," his friend rolled his eyes.

"Really, Wan?" Malikul scrunched in disgust.

Wan turned his head and saw the bloody head sticking out from Malikul's arm. Inside the arms was a girl. A very petite girl. Cute and lovely. Medium-long hair. Dim eyes. But the supposed clean face was now painted with blood all over. Not only that, her whole body was covered with the same stain.

Above her left ear at the side of her head, a bullet planted firmly there. Her right arm was nearly cut, it dangled around so much Wan believed the arm could not be saved. Other bullet wounds could be found on her back and front body. Her chest was decorated with a bunch of cuts and also bullet wounds.

In a normal scenario, a normal mortal couldn't possibly survive such a wound. If she wouldn't die because of the stabs and wounds, she could die because of the blood loss. Wickedly, she stayed alive.

But oh well, no one among them was normal.

"Give me your blood."

"Why?" Wan was horrified, his eyes widened in terror.

"Donate your blood and dump her inside the book. Now!" Malikul landed on the flat ground far from the faithful event. His wings fluttered angrily, sending the dust on the ground flying freely in the air.

"Yes?" Wan dumbfounded. His own wings fluttered as well, less aggressive than his friend.

Malikul put Shadow down delicately and counted the wounds on her body to make himself in pain. His dim eyes looked at the ruined body of his precious girl.

"She can heal herself just fine." Wan folded his arms over his chest.

Malikul turned his head sharply, "Your. Blood. Now!"

Wan sighed. "Fine…"
