Mia
"Sylvia," I called her and she turned from whatever new potion she was experimenting on, to have a look at me.
"Oh good Lord! Mia?" She ran to me, engulfing me in a hug. "What the hell even happened? How did you get back?" My heart ached because this was the kind of reaction I was expecting from my father. I had made a little trip to my room to hide the book of enchantments before making my way here. I had planned to study it all night.
"Well, I tricked them." She gave me a look that screamed 'are you kidding me'.
"You need to give me more than that honey," she said. My thoughts wandered off to the whole situation of finding my mate, to making them trust me until I betrayed them. Was I going to give her the details? I didn't know.
"Sylvia, I need to ask you a few things." She nodded her head, indicating for me to go on. "Dad. Was
MiaI walked into the kitchen to grab myself something to eat when I saw Sophie, one of our maids, taking what seemed like a very stale piece of bread and a bottle of half-filled water on a tray. Damn, how scrumptious. Note the sarcasm. Who in the world would give that to anyone to eat?"Whose feast is that?" I questioned, scrunching my face at the so-called meal."The prisoner in the dungeon," she answered softly."You mean Anastasia a?" I raised a brow, gulping down some water from a bottle nearby."If that's her name, then yes. I was just given orders to keep her alive and give something for her to have once a day." I felt bad comparing the food I got in my time I spent as the prisoner at the Red Moon Pack, and what they were giving her here. Although two times a day, they did give me at least some good stuff to eat.
Christian 'You should come out and see this. ' Gamma Arnold mind linked me, making me drop my pen, trying to put a meaning to his words. 'See what?' I sked through the link once again. 'Find out for yourself, will you?'I dismissed the papers I was engaged in, before moving out of the pack house towards the garden fields, where all the whispers were coming from. Dominic had gone for some important meetings with the council and other packs, leaving me in complete authority and in charge of the pack. Some warriors and pack members had collected outside, circling around something. "What's going on here?" I pushed through the people to get a better view. I was caught off guard watching the two warriors that I had sent with Mia, completely bruised and tattered in blood, struggling to keep their eyes open. "Beta Christian!" One of them struggled to speak as he gasped for air. "Where is Mia? What happened to you guys?" My mind was caught in a haze of rage as the only thing that blared
ChristianI observed Dominic's back as he continued looking out of the window. His posture was rigid and I could feel the rage radiating off him. But he remained silent. His beast was something else. Different from everyone else. He wasn't your ordinary werewolf. Well, neither one of us was since we were royalty, but his was something else. And that is the only reason he keeps him at bay and only lets him come out when things need to be dealt with, in his own way. And his way is definitely not a good way. And he has taught me to follow his footsteps. So, yes, I follow his ways. And man do I enjoy them! Call me sick, but yep, torturing your enemies in the worst possible ways that people could hardly even imagine was pleasing to our sight. We had grown up with it.But right now, the situation is very grave. I was scared. For Mia. She sided with the enemy. That was my only fucking job. To make her feel enough to kno
Mia I hadn't slept the whole night. I couldn't. Sleep won't come to me. The eye-bags were screaming for themselves, of the the torture I had put my eyes through last night. One look at me and anyone could guess I was fucking depressed, crying my eyes out the previous night. So I did what a girl can do. Concealer. Loads of it. Making my way down to the kitchen to grab myself something to eat. I had to do something to get out of here. I needed to warn Christian that Balthazar was going to attack them. Yes, I had lost my respect for him, he was no longer my dad. My blood boiled all over again thinking of that vile creature. But I had to handle things cleverly. I can't blow up anything yet. Fuck, I had even told Balthazar all the ins and outs, everything I knew about the pack. Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Christian. My thoughts ran back to him. He would probably hate me after what I did. Who wouldn't? But could I be blamed? I don't really know. I did betray them. Did the exact thing that my so-c
Mia "Going somewhere?" My breath hitched, my hands halted on the door knob that was going to lead us out of this hell hole before a very similar voice made its way to my ears. Slowly turning back, my eyes fell on Balthazer standing at the end of the living room wearing a smirk, his hands tucked behind him as he looked composed as ever. Behind him stood the leech and, of-fucking-course, the snitch Desmond. Calm down Mia, think! Think quick! "Dad!" I exclaimed, pulling Anastasia before me to lock her throat between my arm and my chest. "This bitch! She was trying to escape. Good thing you are here on time!" I heard Anastasia whimper at the sudden action. But Balthazer looked bored. "You really thought I wouldn't find someone out of their bed in the middle of the night, eavesdropping at my door?" What the- no don't panic, Mia. Don't panic. You've got this! "What are you talking about? Who was that dad? Was it this bitch?" I kicked Anastasia behind her knees, making her drop to t
Mia "Goodness Sylvia!" I heaved out a sigh as she removed the hood to uncover her face. "You almost had me throwing a spell at you," she looked at me with an 'are you serious' look. "I understand why that person is lying unconscious-" "Dead," she cut me off. "Pardon?" "He's lying dead," she clarified and I looked at him. "Oh," she actually killed him? With a dart? "It was laced with poison." She answered my thoughts. "Right, so as I was saying before you interrupted me, I understand why he is dead, but I don't understand why you took me out with the dart at the time of the war?" "Ah, so you did see me." I raised my brow with a 'duh' look on my face. "It was to get you away from the field." "But why?" "You remember the paralyzing potion?" I nodded, remembering the one she prepared to take out the wolves at the time of the war. "Well, it wasn't just a paralyzing potion. It was also mixed with an infestation charm." "A what charm?" Was she for real? "An infestatio
Mia All three men pounced on me with their wands held up. Spell after spell which I dodged before firing my arrows at them. Some got them, some they missed easily. Finally, after running out of arrows, I pulled out my blades. This fight is going to get dirty. But there was just me standing alone, and freaking three full sized wizards. Did I even stand a chance against them? Hell no. But was I going to stop until I gave my all? Of course not. I flung the dagger at one of the men, and he stumbled back in pain as it struck a little above his heart. That gave me enough time to deal with the other two. I lunged forward at them, the blades shining in my hand as I shot the only spell I remember, causing a fireball to hit their hands. As a result, they finally dropped their wands. That was all I needed to get near them and start carving the skins with my blade. I plunged the dagger’s blade in their stomach and was ready to shoot more when I heard a warning. “Behind you Mia!” Anastasia c
Mia I couldn’t bring myself to move my legs, no matter how hard I tried. I spotted the last guy standing over a very bruised Anastasia. Her face was under his booted foot, as he applied great force to torment. She cried in pain as I saw her nose bleeding, her cheeks and lips busted. Fuck! “You bitches are going to regret this!” He took his wand up to finally finish her off, but I couldn’t let it happen just yet. My head felt heavy, black dots appeared in my vision every few seconds. With whatever energy I had left in me, I raised my hand to cast another blazing shot at him, but then something happened. My hand froze in the air. “Enough, you brat!” I heard him shout at me, as he squeezed Anastasia’s face further under his foot. His wand was pointed in my direction as he slowly turned to look at me, not letting go of Anastasia. “Just because you learned to do that, does not mean you have conquered the art of witchcraft just yet, Mia. It takes time and practice,” he mocked. “But most
