Chapter 1: A Shocking Revelation

I couldn't believe my ears as I listened to my stepfather's plan. He had just sold me to the alpha king, the most brutal ruler in all the land. And for what? Money. My life was worth nothing to him.

"You can't do this!" I exclaimed, my voice shaking with anger and fear. "How could you even think of selling me like some piece of property?"

"Listen, Yennifer," my stepfather said, his voice dripping with false sympathy. "I know this is hard for you, but we're in dire straits. We need the money, and this is the only way."

"The only way?" I repeated, incredulous. "There's always another way. You just don't want to look for it."

"Yennifer, please," my stepfather said, his tone growing impatient. "I've made up my mind. You're leaving tomorrow morning.

I stared at him, tears welling up in my eyes. I had always known that my stepfather didn't care about me, but I never thought he would go this far. Selling me to the alpha king was a death sentence, and he knew it.

I spent the rest of the night packing my meager belongings and trying to come up with a plan. But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't think of a way out of this. I was trapped.

The next morning, I was awoken by a knock on my door. When I opened it, I found a royal SUV parked outside my house, waiting to take me to the alpha king's mansion.

I took a deep breath and walked out the door, trying to keep my composure. I could feel the eyes of my neighbors on me as I got into the car. They knew what was happening, and they didn't seem to care.

The ride to the alpha king's mansion was a blur. I sat in the backseat, staring out the window as the landscape flew by. I was numb, unable to process what was happening to me.

When we arrived at the mansion, I was ushered inside by the king's guards. The mansion was grand and imposing, with high ceilings and marble floors. It was a far cry from the small, cramped house I had grown up in.

I was led to a room and left alone to wait. I sat on the edge of the bed, feeling small and helpless. I didn't know what was going to happen to me, but I knew it wasn't going to be good.

After what felt like an eternity, the door opened and the alpha king walked in. He was tall and muscular, with piercing blue eyes and a stern expression.

"Yennifer," he said, his voice cold and unyielding. "Welcome to my home."

I looked up at him, trying to hide my fear. "What do you want from me?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

The alpha king smiled, but there was no warmth in it. "I want you to be my mate," he said. "And I won't take no for an answer."

My heart sank as the words sank in. I had heard of the alpha king's reputation for taking young women as his mates, but I never thought I would be one of them.

"I can't be your mate," I said, trying to keep my voice steady. "I don't even know you.

"You will get to know me," the alpha king replied, his eyes fixed on mine. "And you will learn to love me."

I shook my head. "I can't just fall in love with someone because they tell me to," I said, my voice rising in defiance. "I won't be a pawn in your game."

The alpha king's face darkened, and he took a step towards me. I instinctively backed away, my heart pounding in my chest.

"You will do as I say," he growled. "Or there will be consequences."

I knew that he wasn't bluffing. The alpha king was known for his ruthless nature, and I had no doubt that he would do whatever it took to get what he wanted.

For the next few days, I was confined to the mansion, with guards posted outside my door at all times. The alpha king visited me frequently, trying to convince me to become his mate.

But I refused to give in. I knew that my life would be miserable if I agreed to his demands, and I refused to let him have that power over me.

Finally, after a week of being held captive, I was given an opportunity to escape. One of the guards who had been watching me let his guard down, and I was able to slip past him and make my way to the front door.

I ran as fast as I could, my heart pounding in my chest. I had no idea where I was going, but I knew that I had to get as far away from the alpha king as possible.

Just as I thought I was in the clear, I heard the sound of footsteps behind me. I turned around to see the alpha king himself, his face twisted in anger.

"You can't run from me," he said, his voice low and menacing. "I'll find you, no matter where you go."

I didn't know what to do. I was trapped, with nowhere to turn.

And then, just as the alpha king was about to grab me, something strange happened. A bright light appeared in front of me, blinding me momentarily.

When I opened my eyes again, I found myself in a completely different place. It was a beautiful garden, with flowers of every color and size.

Confused and disoriented, I looked around, trying to figure out what had just happened. And then, I saw her.

A woman was standing in front of me, dressed in a flowing white gown. She had long, dark hair and eyes that sparkled like diamonds.

"Welcome, Yennifer," she said, smiling warmly. "I've been waiting for you."

I stared at the woman, unsure of what to make of her. Who was she, and how had she brought me here? And most importantly, could she help me escape the alpha king's clutches?
