Dimitri laughed for a long time, while Kira stared at him with stunned expressions.
“This is not funny,” Kira snapped as she stood up. And only when she was standing she saw a few people were peering at them. “And your people are staring at us, I am guessing it is because you are laughing!”
These words erased Dimitri’s laugh. He sat up, composed himself and stood up too. Indeed, people were staring at them.
He waved his hand and dismissed all. With smiles and sheepish looks, people disappeared, though Kira was aware that some were still watching.
“Did you know we were being watched?” Kira asked skeptically.
“I never truly alone until I am in my bedroom,” Dimitri huffed as he sat back down. “But I think sitting here, I am not that easily visible!”
