Chapter Seventeen

Alexander's eyebrows rose in surprise at Camilla's threat, but he was not intimidated.

He let out a chuckle and shot Camilla a quick glance before returning his attention to the road.

"Is that so?" He said with a hint of amusement in his tone.

"I didn't know that your talents extend beyond heartbreaks, to physical harm as well," he said, his tone laced with sarcasm and a hint of amusement.

A smirk played on his lips as he looked over at her, noting the redness on her cheeks from anger. He gave her an innocent smile, waiting for her reaction.

"Stop the car," she said in a commanding tone.

He pretended to not hear her, "Pardon?" he asked, casting a quick glance in her direction.

Her frustration grew as she noticed the hint of amusement on his face.
