I got down from my car, closed the door of my car behind me and walked swiftly to the front door of my house with my hands in my pocket while Tommy drove the car to the garage.

I walked straight into the house and I was taken aback by the quiet state of the house.

I couldn't help but notice how quiet the house was; It was as silent as a graveyard, with no sound or noise being heard.

Where was Corvette??

I walked in and dropped my brief case on the couch before loosening my top button to enable my efficient breathing.

After I was finally relaxed, I walked into the corridor and still there was no sign of her. I made my way to the, kitchen but it was just as silent and empty too.

I also made way to the verenda but still no sign of her, then I decided to head upstairs to my room.

Did she run away? Was she kidnapped??

Different thoughts and questions ran through my mind with no definite answer.
