White hot rage coursed through my veins as I flipped through the pages of the contract. Nikolai had trapped me. He knew my position and he knew that at the moment I signed this contract, I trusted him and he decided to play me.

“I swear I'll kill him," I roared, slamming the papers on the desk. Although I knew it was partly my fault for trusting him even after everything, I was still angry.

“You should calm down. After all there's nothing you can do now," the calm voice spoke into my ear.

“Easy for you to say. You're not the one being exploited," I retorted. The person at the other end chuckled.

“Don’t act like the victim, Sarah. You and I both know who's losing at the end of all this. Now get back to work. I can't hold off the cameras for much longer; my tech skills only go so far” he muttered. I rolled my eyes and puffed out a breath as I disconnected the call.

I kept the contract aside and began rummaging through Nikolai's shelves. I supposed for things like what I was looking for,

    "What is it, Princess?" I heard as a dark silhouette loomed over me. I gulped. I stepped back a bit, ensuring to keep enough space between us. "It's nothing.     My day was great. Infact, my whole first week was perfect. I had enough time to focus on my work. L hadn't called in a week and there had been no more threats on either I or Nikolai's life.     Sunlight filtered in through the window and I turned on the bed. I opened my eyes a bit to see that my phone was buzzing and the screen had lit up.
