Chapter Thirteen

Klaus PoV

"This is getting out of hand," Aurora called out as she splattered oil all over the pan. She was in the middle of making breakfast, yet, all her thoughts were centered on Axel's erratic actions.

"I know, babe," I replied as I set the table, "but there's nothing I can do."

"What do you mean there's nothing you can do?" she raised her voice louder than the sizzling sound of the frying eggs. It was bacon and eggs for breakfast, my favorite.

“You're the beta. The pack looks up to you."

"And he's the Alpha," I replied, "the pack owes their loyalty to him."

"Then maybe he should no longer be the Alpha, and the pack should swear their loyalty to someone that truly cares about them. Not an Alpha that would turn around to torture the same people he swore to protect."

Aurora had a deep scowl on her face as she entered the dining room with two sets of plates perfectly balanced on her arms.
