THEO
"You doing okay?" Devon said to me with her hand resting on my knee. We were in the car and we were heading towards the park."I'm okay" I replied and she smiled. "We're here" she announced and we both got out of the car. She placed a blue scarf around my neck and slipped her gloved hand in mine. I gave her a smile as we both sat down on the cold bench. "Thank you for doing this, Dev" I said and she grinned."You've spent a lot of time in your room. I figured you needed fresh air" she said."Yeah, I needed this" I agreed. We remained silent, staring at the trees and dying grasses that was covered with snow. "Why are you so fascinated with winter?" She asked and I smiled."The fae kingdom is divided into four. Each kingdom represent a season. There's Hammok, it represents summer because it's always in summer all year round. Then, there's Bisok. ItTHEO "If we are to leave, we have to leave this night. You're apparently getting worse. You can't fight it for so long" Luke said to me as I wiped off the blood from my nose. "I'm fine. I can handle it-""No, you can't. Even the crown prince of the four lands needs to cut himself some slack. Clearly, all this is too much for you" Luke said and I groaned, burying my face in my hands."Luke's right, Theo. You're actually worsening and it's causing you pain. I'm not okay with the fact that you're in pain. I just have to get my mum to agree to let me come with you guys" Devon sighed and I gasped, raising my head from her laps. "No, Devon. You can't come with us. It's risky" I said. "I don't care. What if there's something I can do? What if you'll need my help?" She asked, running a hand through my hair."She has to come with us, Theo" Luke said and I groaned."Fine""Can you stand?" Devon asked.
DEVON We journeyed in silence at first, a heavy tension hanging around us.We stopped right in front of a place that looked like a ranch "Why are we stopping here?" Luke asked Tyrenn with a frown on his face. "We need horses....your friend looks like he's going to collapse anytime soon. Besides, are you planning to walk all the way to Grymlok?" Tyrenn said, grabbing the rein of one of the horses. He steered the horse towards Theo and I. Then, he grabbed the reins of two other horses and led one of them to where Luke was standing."Hop on, strangers" he said.I noticed that Theo's nose was starting to bleed again and he definitely looked dizzy. He mounted the horse and held onto the reins of the horse. Then, Luke got me on top of the horse, right behind Theo. I watched Theo as he wiped his nose with the sleeve of his hoodie.I placed my hand around his waist. "Lean on me" I whispered, my hands grasping onto the
DEVON "You've got to be kidding me" I said when Luke opened a portal that took me home. He'd accompanied me home after we'd taken Theo home."You shouldn't be surprised, princess. An hour here in the human world is like a second in the underworld" Luke said. "Woah""I'll be leaving now" he said and I nodded. He vanished from sight and I knocked on the door. When no one answered, I opened the door. I was totally not expecting the sight of my mum standing by the staircase, her face drained of color. She looked horrified but that was not the shocking thing about this situation. Her blue eyes had become a very light blue that glowed fiercely. Her hands were covered with ice. I lowered my gaze to see what she was staring at. My dad was lying on the floor, completely frozen."Mum? W-what's going on here?" I said, my heart thudding madly against my rib cage."Sweetie..... I-""Wait, you're not human?"
THEO️ Luke and I were walking along the streets of New York after we'd left the Hexagon. It was nice to feel like myself again."Let's stop for some ice cream" Luke said and I rolled my eyes."We don't have to" I said."Come on, Theo. When was the last time you had some ice cream?" He said, raising a brow."Seriously, you-""Daeron"I froze when I heard someone call me using my true name. That someone wasn't Luke. I slowly turned to look at who it was. I suddenly wished I'd ignored him because at that point, I wanted to strangle him to death. "Matthias or should I say, Urèn?" I said, clenching my fists.Matthias was just the same. As I stared at him, all I could see was him throwing the dragon blade at me."Daeron, I-""Let me guess, you've been following me. Have you come to finish what you started?" I said.He sighed"I'm really sorry for what I did
DEVON I'd just returned home from school and had just placed my backpack on the floor when Theo entered my room through the window. I was starting to get used to this habit of his. "Hey" I said and kissed him. "How was it?" Theo asked, his hand resting on my waist. "It wasn't bad" I shrugged. He smiled but I noticed that he was tense. Too tense for comfort. "Theo, spit it out" I urged. "You really know me that well, don't you?" he said. "I know that you're tense and something's bothering you" I said, releasing my hair from it's ponytail. "Taerus is attacking by sunset" he said and I gasped. "What? That's in a few hours. Theo, what're we going to do?" I asked. "Be strong" he said. I was terrified. I had a feeling that something bad was going to happen. "Hey, look at me. Don't think negatively" he said, cuppin
DEVON I bolted upright on my bed, covering my face with my hands as hot tears rolled down my cheeks. I'd dreamt of loosing Theo again. It's been three years since he died but I still haven't gotten over him. It feels like he died just yesterday and each time I close my eyes, I see him fade away. He'd been so pale and cold. We didn't even get to give him a befitting burial. As it is, fairies who die in the human world usually fade away and that's exactly what happened. I stopped having the nightmares two years after he'd passed away. Now, I just had the nightmare again. It makes it harder to move on. I got out of bed and picked up a framed photo on my nightstand. It was the photo I'd taken with Theo three years back in Paris. I looked up at the calendar in my room. My heart sank when I realized that this was the same day I'd lost my soulmate three years ago. Despite the fact that I've met up with several therapists, I still
SHEA The air was rather cold and humid as I made my way towards my apartment. Exhaling slowly, I inserted my key into the keyhole and twisted it twice, the resounding click echoing through my apartment as the door creaked open. I walked in, shutting the door behind me. I took off my coat and hung it on the coat rack. Absent-mindedly, I walked into my room, rubbing my tired eyes. My exhaustion seeped deep into my bones even as I made myself comfortable on my bed and closed my eyes, wincing when the dull throbbing in my head spiked up. My mind drifted and I started to think about the blue eyed girl. Her name was Devon. She was beautiful just like in my dreams. A certain thought came to me and I found myself feeling confused. If Devon was the girl in my dreams and she was real....it meant that Theo could be real. That brought me back to the dream I had earlier. Theo had died and I was starting to wonder if I had anythin
DEVON Why on Earth was he asking me that? How the hell does he know about Theodore. Someone must've told him, but who? Maybe, Liam? Besides, Liam only knows that my exboyfriend's name was Theodore. He'd heard me calling his name whenever I had nightmares.I bit my lower lip, debating on whether I could tell him or not. So, I went with the latter.I slowly typed in a reply and hit 'send'.'No, I don't. Why are you asking?' His reply came shortly. 'Forget it. It's not important' I shrugged and turned to focus on the TV. He didn't send anymore messages. Later, Liam drove by to pick me up. I was wearing a fitted blue dress that ended above my knee and black heels that complimented my dress. "You look beautiful" Liam said giving me a kiss.I smiled and got into his car.Liam, my boyfriend for over six months was a handsome hunk. He had brown hair that was a shad
