I stared harshly at his face, and wished I could scratch at it.

Yes, that was what I badly wanted to do.

I was sure that I was quite pretty, no, more than pretty.

My looks was acceptable, and I was well endowed.

Then, why was giving me the cold shoulders? I was supposed to have my way, right?

I took a sideways glance at Thomas, who pursed his lips. I wish his gaze would meet mine, so I'd tell him not to tell Lazarus what happened downstairs.

"Take a bath, and come down for breakfast." And with that, he walked out. Rory followed, seconds later, after throwing me a small smile.

"You can follow. I'll be fine on my own." I said, and without waiting for his response, I walked into the room.

Minutes later, I joined others downstairs for breakfast. I spotted Lazarus, few tables away from where I was seated.

The dining hall had a cafeteria kind of setting.

A petite girl smiled at me, and I took an instant liking to her. "What's your name?" I asked, as I bit into a sticky bake
