"Hey Deej! Wait up." Addilyn runs down the hall and tackles me in a hug.

"Hey Addy." I squeeze her back.

Addilyn is my girl bestfriend. We've been friends since the beginning of high school. She befriended me the moment I set foot on campus and, well, the rest is history.

She laces her arm through mine as we walk to chemistry together.

"There's a rumour going round that Mr Saunders kicked you out of maths class and you went to the gardens to fuck Aidan Gabriels." She says in a sly voice. I can't help the laugh that escapes my lips.

"HA! Who on earth told you that?" But before she can answer, the rest of the group emerges from wherever they were and join us in our walk to Chemistry.

"Deej, someone said you fucked Aidan Gabriels, is it true." Dominic asked.

"You fucked him? I heard it was just over the clothes stuff." Ben piped up.

"Leave the poor girl alone. She can do what she wants with whoever she wants. But it was under the clothes stuff and not all the way right?" Chiara pushed through the boys to ask.

"God you're all insufferable! I didn't do anything with Aidan Gabriels! We just bumped into each other in the gardens after I was kicked out of Maths. That ways it." I say and pull away to take my seat in Chem.

Our group was scattered throughout the class because Mrs Yatt couldn't stand us all chatting.

Our little group consists of (in order of appearance):

me, Danika - the bookworm, soccer captain, and Ben appointed football team manager. I’m a rogue.

Addilyn - straight A, in everybody's business cheerleading captain. She’s the daughter of the beta in the Bloods Pack.

Dominic - debate and public speaking team captain ladies man. He’s also a rogue.

Ben - the sweetest, kindest, good at everything, captain of the football team, head boy. He’s the son of the alpha of the partiers.

Chiara - the straight A, head warrior, fuck you, school slut that only cares about all of us but she does so with her whole heart. She’s the daughter of the gamma in the bow downs.

And last but not least is Jared - responsible, level headed, keeps everyone's shit together, designated driver He’s the son of the beta in the bow downs. Who isn't here for some reason.

Jared and I are the only people who sit next to each other in Chem because we don't talk verbally. We write notes or play 0 and X. He marches in just as we've all settled down, apologising for being late and sitting next to me. Mrs Yatt starts the lesson and Jared writes on a piece of paper. 'You and Aidan?'

I roll my eyes and write back. 'Seriously, you too?!'

He puts his pen down and raises his hands in defeat.
