An omega offspring

Alice's point of view:

I've never got the chance to feel my bones changing shape, my skin rupture, and change to fur. I've never got the chance to have my teeth turning into fangs, neither had claws replacing my fingers. I do badly want to know how it feels to set your wolf free, to run in the woods as a wolf, to taste power, but I've never got the chance since I was born without a wolf.

Goodness! I still haven't introduced myself. I mean, where are my manners?

To sum up, my name is Alice wood, I'm eighteen years old. Daughter of Peter and Agnès wood, from the Silver Moon Pack. Both my mother and father were no warriors, no fighters, nor high-ranking wolves either - they were both Omegas.

I would've been a liar if for one second I claim not to be proud of my parents or of what they made me. They were indeed low ranking in our pack, but they were never close to being weak. The strength they both held was all I needed to be the person I am today.

Rather than being my idols in life, they taught me how to feel grateful for who I am, how to love myself, and how to be proud of who I want to be.

They gave me everything I needed to have, they taught me everything I needed to learn, and I would give my entire life to only have them by my side for an extra day.

The only one that keeps me from feeling alone and lonely is Joshua Black, future Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack.

Yes! A human offspring of two omegas is a close friend to a future alpha. The bond created between us was created a long time ago when I was still a child. Exactly when my father died trying to save Joshua's life.

Indeed, my father saved the young alpha from the claws of the deadly rogue. Yet, he wasn't that strong to survive that attack. He fought until his last breath, though he knew he wasn't going to win.

It was something I appreciated about my father. He never steps back, no matter what happens. My mother was not the same as my father. She used to believe that running could be the best way to survive.

The funny thing about it all was that they both share different perspectives on living. Yet, both their perspectives were the reason that caused their death.

Back to my father when he was fighting against the rogue... The pack members didn't arrive at the right time to save my father, neither cared to save him since the priority back then was for the future alpha, and my father was just an omega.

My mother couldn't take the pain of losing her mate, so without thinking even for a second about me - she decided to join my father. She again picked the easy option, which is running far away, leaving me alone in this world.

Due to my father's brave act that cost him his life, I was invited to live at the packhouse. Of course, that didn't sound as much as a big deal to me. Especially after knowing that I no longer was able to see either my father or my mother.

Imagine all the pain a girl shall have to face after losing her parents while she's just ten. It was hard for me to accept all that was happening, especially when I knew that it was all because of me.

Well, all that pain was gone the moment I met Joshua. An instant bond was created between the both of us, a bond that was mistaken to be a futuristic mate bond.

Both Alpha Asher and Luna Ema lived in anxiety and horror for about six years.

Wanna know why? I'll tell you why.

As an alpha, no one would want an offspring out of a weak omega for his only child. Relief runs through both their veins when I and Joshua reach our sixteen years old, especially when I ended up without a wolf.

It turns out that both of me and Joshua are not mates like everyone else expected. Still, the bond between us wasn't affected by such a thing. It was quite the opposite. The bond between us got stronger than before. It was more like a family tie than the two lovers' one.

We were both over-protected toward each other, which caused us to mostly fight against each other. Still, we took care of each other - mostly; he had my back whenever I got myself into trouble, which happens a lot.

We trusted each other more than we trusted anyone around us. We share secrets that no one knows but us.

He was the only one after my parents to know about my gift. What gift am I talking about? Well, it's not the type of gifts you might want, nor the one you can hate.

I am a sort of artist, but not the usual type of artist you might know about. I actually drew some parts from the future. It was actually one of my drawings that saved Joshua that day.

I was playing with my father when it happened; I saw a dead Joshua next to a huge wolf and I drew it on paper. When my father saw my drawing, he rushed to save Joshua and lost his life instead of Joshua.

My future visions are not always stable, a small butterfly effect can change them. Same as what happened with Joshua. My father's interruption changes Joshua's fate, and instead of him dying - my father died.

I couldn't be more grateful for the fact of having Joshua alive and by my side, yet I would've been happier if I got to keep my parents also by my side.

Lost though I was when the door of my room busted open, revealing the one and only Joshua.

" Guess what! You don't know what my father told me this morning?"

Joshua exclaims while his voice is full of happiness and joy. I rolled my eyes at his childish behavior, and before he was able to utter any other word - I took one of my paintings, then threw it at his face.
