“Revania! Don’t touch that document!” I shouted, running across the office. My hand nearly reached the stack of files she was about to grab.

She turned, a cold smile on her face. “Devia… you’re always so stubborn. You think I’ll just stand by when I see you daring to step in here?”

I stared at her straight on, my steps firm as I approached. “This is my office now. Every decision is in my hands, not yours. Don’t ever try to mess with my projects again!”

Revania gave a sinister smile, her eyes gleaming. “You’re impressive, but remember… I’ve known Argan longer than you. I know how to seize opportunities. You’re just waiting for the moment you fall.”

I leaned toward her, my voice firm. “If you want a fight, let’s see who can endure. But don’t expect me to back down!”

Her assistant, standing near the desk, snickered. “Hahaha… look at this! Mrs. Devia daring to scold Miss Revania. How amusing.”

I gave the assistant a cold glare. “You’re just a shadow of Revania. Stay out of this!”

Revania laughed softly, moving lightly toward my desk. “A shadow? I decide who holds power here. You… are only beginning to walk on this battlefield.”

I clenched my fists, my breath quickening. “Then let’s see who can truly survive.”

---

In the following days, the office became a battlefield. Revania constantly tried to bring me down—changing meeting schedules, manipulating reports, even trying to prevent me from meeting important clients.

I took a deep breath and looked at my team. “Stay calm. We face this together. No one can stop us.”

“Ms. Devia… are you sure you can beat Revania?” asked one of my team members.

I gave a faint smile. “I’m no longer a woman who can be defeated by trickery. Just wait and see the results of our real work.”

When the client meeting began, Revania attempted to sabotage my presentation. I looked at the computer screen calmly and quickly shifted the data to the backup projector. All the information appeared perfectly, even more professional than she had planned.

“This… is incredible,” one client commented, looking at me in admiration. “Your team is very solid.”

Revania glared at me, her face flushed with anger. “This… can’t be!”

I smiled coldly. “This isn’t about luck, Revania. It’s hard work, strategy, and real capability.”

---

That night, I sat alone in my office, gazing at the city skyline through the window. The lights sparkled, but my mind focused on the battle of the day.

My phone vibrated. A message from a client: “Devia, we want to expand the contract. Your team’s work is outstanding!”

I smiled with relief. “Finally, our hard work is being recognized.”

Suddenly, the door opened. Argantara stood in the doorway, his expression unreadable.

“Devia…” His voice was heavy, tense.

I looked at him evenly. “What now, Argan?”

He stepped inside, closing the door gently. “I… need to talk. I was wrong all this time. Focusing on Revania and my mother controlled my life too much. I see you now… you’re stronger than I imagined.”

I raised an eyebrow, my tone sharp. “Just now you realize? After years of ignoring me and almost giving my heart to Revania?”

Argantara lowered his gaze briefly. “I know I don’t deserve anything. But I want you to know—I respect you. I’m not asking you to come back. I just want you to know.”

I leaned forward, staring sharply. “Argan, I don’t need your recognition. I can stand on my own. I’m building my own life now.”

He nodded slowly. “I understand… but I hope you remain safe, both professionally and personally. You should know… Revania won’t give up.”

I gave a faint smile, looking out the window. “I’m ready. No one can stop me now. Argantara, you’re just part of the past that shaped me into a stronger woman.”

He looked at me for a long moment, then finally nodded and stepped aside. I knew my relationship with him was still complicated, but this time I was no longer dependent on his decisions—or on Revania.

---

A few weeks later, Revania tried her final move. She arranged a secret meeting with several important clients, hoping to ruin my reputation.

I found out first, smiling coldly. “If she thinks she can take me down with trickery, she’s gravely mistaken. I have my own strategy.”

On the day of the meeting, I arrived early, greeted the clients warmly, and presented the data flawlessly, showing full control of the situation. Revania tried to enter the room, but my security stopped her.

I looked at her from a distance. “There’s no room for your games anymore, Revania. Today, I win.”

She stared at me, her face red. “This isn’t over, Devia. I’ll be back.”

I gave a faint smile, grinning inwardly. “You can try. But don’t forget, this time I’m not afraid anymore.”

That night, after everything was done, I sat alone in the office. The city lights shone through the window, warm and comforting. I looked at my laptop, smiling.

“Devia… this is just the beginning. I no longer depend on anyone, and no one can belittle me. I will prove to everyone—that a strong woman can rise from pain and defeat all schemes.”

I closed the office door slowly, my breath still caught in my chest. My heart was in chaos, yet there was something different—a sense of release I had never felt in all the years I had been an overlooked wife.“Devia… are you okay?” my secretary’s hesitant voice came from behind me.I turned, giving a faint smile. “Yes, Lina. I’m fine. Today, I’m taking control of my own life.”She nodded, but her eyes were still full of concern. “But… what about Argantara and Revania?”I took a deep breath, staring at the office ceiling. “Let them be. I have my own plans now. No longer relying on a husband who never truly cared, and I won’t let Revania destroy my dignity again.”---The next day, I arrived at the office with steady steps. All eyes were on me—not only because I was a manager returning after internal conflict, but also because the divorce rumors had spread quickly.I sat at my desk, reviewing scattered reports, yet there was a strange sense of relief. It felt like freedom from the chai

I could be disowned!”I swallowed a bitter laugh, the bitterness pressing on my chest. “Did you forget? Weren’t you the one who divorced me first? So why are you hesitating now?”Argantara took a long breath, bowing his head briefly before looking at me with fiery eyes. “Devia, you—!” He nearly shouted, holding back anger that was clearly visible in his jaw. I’ll be disowned as her son!”I scoffed, the bitterness stabbing through my chest. “Have you forgotten? Weren’t you the one who divorced me first?
