In the evening.

 

Venus was currently sitting in front of the dressing table, staring at the bruises on her left shoulder and the corner of her lips in the reflection of the image in the mirror in front of her. Then she fingered the cloth used to bandage her cracked ribs.

 

"Does he really want me?" muttered Venus.

 

Now her memory has returned to the events of four years ago. Venus used to be the woman who was set up for Leon, but Leon continued to be cold to her. Until one day she and Leon went to a campsite in the middle of the forest in winter as directed by the Delmonte family, who said that everyone wanted to go to that place to relax. But when they got there, there were only a few servants grilling meat. At first she thought that the entire Delmonte family might be late, so she and Leon waited there, but suddenly there were several Rogues surrounding the place.

 

She and Leon fought together against the Rogues, who clearly wanted to kill them both. They continued to fight and began to be pushed back, until finally they chose to hide in a cave that night. The weather at that time was very cold, so she and Leon agreed to make love to keep their bodies warm. Even though they had sex in order to survive, they still did it with passion.

 

"Why is he doing this?" Venus muttered as she touched the scar behind her ear.

 

There was a knock on the door. Venus immediately turned to the door and saw four servants entering the room carrying a lot of things.

 

"What's this?" asked Venus as the servant placed the items on the bed.

 

"We'll all help you get ready for the night," replied one of the servants as she picked up a white lingerie with a soft material and various silver embellishments on it. It could be seen that the lingerie was indeed inspired by the snow season.

 

Venus closed her eyes for a few moments. "Didn't he say anything to you guys?"

 

The four servants stared at each other at Venus' question. Then the maid who was holding the lingerie answered back, "Master said that we must make you comfortable; if we make a mistake, then our hands will be at stake."

 

Venus immediately opened her eyes when she heard the words of the servant in front of her.

 

Immediately the four servants fell to their knees. "Please forgive us; we really don't want to make you upset and uncomfortable."

 

Venus was now surprised by what was in front of her. "Stand up, I'm not angry."

 

Immediately the four servants stood up as Venus commanded.

 

"Does Leon often do things like this?" asked Venus while looking at the four servants in front of her. "Don't worry, I won't be angry with the fact that he is a man who deserves many women."

 

"No, ma'am, you are the first woman allowed to live in this mansion," replied the servant quickly.

 

The other three servants raised their hands. "We swear this is true," they said almost in unison.

 

'Why is he treating me like this? What is really going on?' thought Venus, who was now feeling increasingly uneasy.

 

Then one of the servants spoke, "Madam, can we start helping you change? Your time to meet Mr. Leon is fast approaching."

 

Venus looked at the clock on the wall, then she looked at the lingerie and fur coat prepared for her.

"You can go and tell him that in five minutes I will come to the room he wants," she said while looking at the jewelry that was also prepared for her.

 

Of course the four maids were surprised to hear Venus' words. They had no idea what kind of makeup could be made in just five minutes, especially now that there were clearly some wounds on Venus' body that needed to be covered.

 

"Why are you still here? Leave," Venus said in a calm tone.

 

Then the four servants left the room as Venus had instructed.

 

Meanwhile, Venus now turned to stare at the beach sandals prepared for her. "He even thought about my comfort," she muttered.

 

Five minutes passed; by this time, Venus was walking slowly down the stairs in the mansion. The four servants who had been waiting for Venus at the bottom of the stairs were surprised to see Venus' current state.

They were not amazed because of Venus' beautiful appearance, but they were surprised because Venus did not apply any makeup on her face and left the bruises on her lips clearly visible. Venus was even barefoot at the moment.

 

"Where's the room?" asked Venus, who had now reached the first floor.

 

"We'll take you there," replied the servant, who was currently standing right in front of Venus.

 

Venus gave a small nod. After that, she and the four maids walked towards the other side of the mansion.

 

After five minutes of walking, Venus finally arrived at the door of a large room. And a moment later, the door opened wide. There was Leon sitting on the edge of the bed facing her.

 

Venus swallowed and then walked quietly into the room.

 

"Come closer to me," said Leon, who was currently only wearing black pants.

 

Venus took off her furry coat, and at the same time the door to the room was closed by four servants.

 

"What game do you want to play?" asked Leon while pinching Venus' chin when Venus reached him.

 

"I should be the one asking you that; what's this all about?" asked Venus as she looked intensely into Leon's eyes.

 

"You want to make trouble with me because you don't want to serve me, am I right?" asked Leon as he roughly released Venus' chin.

"So you're ready to see your daughter-"

 

"No," Venus replied, cutting Leon off. "Don't hurt Aurel."

 

"Then why do you seem unwilling to be with me? Do you think I'm disgusting?" Leon's eyes looked at Venus sharply.

 

Venus shook her head.

 

"Then what!" Leon snapped because he didn't immediately get an answer from Venus.

 

"I'm a luna," Venus replied in a high tone of voice. "I am a luna, I have Aurel, and I have a great responsibility to the Ringblood pack when I get the title of a Luna. I-"

 

"Let's just say that you still have hopes for my brother, who clearly cheated on you. And you should also know that this whole pack is making a joke out of you because you're sticking by him like a bitch holding out for money." Leon cut Venus off, saying exactly what was on his mind.

 

Venus was silent, her face like she had just been slapped hard. She knew about this, but when someone said all the harsh realities she had experienced over the past few months directly, her heart really felt crushed. A moment later, a bitter smile appeared on Venus' lips. "Yes, I was stupid, but since yesterday I've been able to see everything clearly," Venus replied as she looked back into Leon's eyes with confidence.

 

"Then why aren't you willing to be with me?" Leon asked as he stood up.

 

Venus raised her face to look at Leon's face. "Give me time; I will break my relationship with Alan so that I can belong to you completely."

 

Leon and Venus stared at each other for a while without a word coming out of their lips, until finally...

 

"Fine, I'll give you some time," Leon said as he turned around.

 

'He really believes in me,' Venus thought to herself in surprise.

"Wait," Venus immediately held Leon's hand. "Tell me, why are you doing this? You threw me away; why do you want to hold me back now?"

 

Leon immediately looked back at Venus. "I never dumped you; you left me."

 

Venus wrinkled her forehead. "I abandoned you? You were the one who gave the rejection letter to my family. I was devastated then, I-" Venus stopped speaking.

Then she pulled Leon's arm more firmly. "Tell me, did you really not give my family the rejection letter after the incident in the forest four years ago?"

 

"No," Leon replied seriously.

 

Venus immediately let go of Leon's arm and then took a step back. "Then who made that letter? It has your company seal on it."

 

Immediately Leon took a step forward and brought his body and Venus' body closer together.

"I couldn't have done that because..." He rubbed Venus' face gently, and then he bent his body and whispered in Venus' ear. "You are mine."

 

Venus' eyes widened at Leon's words.

'I am his,' she thought to herself in complete shock.

 

Then Leon stood up straight again and took the cell phone from his pants pocket. "Prepare a grave for Aurel," he said to the person on the call.

 

"What? Why would you do that?" Venus' eyes bulged.
