“You!” Lucius snarled when he entered his office and found me waiting for him in his chair.

He closed the door behind him as he walked toward me, and I chuckled as I took my feet off his desk and stood up.

“Good morning, Mr. Hall.”

“What are you doing in my office? What do you want?”

“Come on, you don’t have to be rude, not when I’m here with a big business offer.”

“What?”

I walked to him, closing the small gap between us. “You and I can make a great team if you don’t mind sitting down and hearing my business proposal.”

He didn’t answer as he walked to his chair and sat down. I breathed as I sat down on the chair facing him.

“You’re going to sell your company to me, and I’m going to pay a good price for it. When the press asks questions, you’ll tell them you’re looking for something new and more challenging to focus on. You won’t mention anything about my visit to your office. Not even to your board members.”
