“Giovanni will come back from his last day of campaigning as the mayor of Chicago and will go to see his son before heading to his house. He usually spends about an hour with his baby mama, probably getting some, and then gets home around 8 PM for dinner.” “How heavy is his security system?” I asked after Cole informed me about what he found about Giovanni’s schedule for the day. “He has a surveillance system around his property, including 3 security guards at the gate and 2 security guards on each floor of his 5-storey house.” “So, we have 13 security guards to take care of?” “Probably 16, including the 2 that he goes around with and the one who watches his surveillance cameras in the house. We have to figure out how we are going to get past that.” “Tony was Giovanni’s former bodyguard, so he knows the way around the house, including the secret entrances and exits. We will also get clothes that are worn by the security guards just so that we can blend too easily without drawing attention to ourselves.” “I think that will work,” Cole answered as he drove to a stop. “Is this Rio’s house?” I asked as I looked outside the window. “Yes. I’m sure he’s inside the house playing video games and smoking drugs while paying people to make him look dangerous to men like Travis, who don’t know that he’s an actual crook who hides under his father’s cloak.” “Just imagine,” I scoffed as we hopped out of the car and headed toward the house. “He’s making us look bad, as if we can’t handle our business ourselves. I wonder how someone like Travis got himself entangled with this wanna-be gangster.” “Probably got scared because his father is the chief director of the police department; one can never tell,” Cole replied. “That’s pathetic. What can Big Papa do?” I chuckled as we knocked on the door and waited for Rio to open it. “Hi,” a girl smiled after opening the door. She bit her lower lip and curled a lock of her hair in her hand. She was wearing a short skirt and a tank top, and it was obvious she was high and drunk as fuck. I slipped a few dollars from my pocket and chunk them inside her cleavage as I dragged her out of the door. She didn’t even resist when we closed the door in her face and walked down the hallway to find Rio. “Who was it, my little birdie?” Rio’s voice echoed from the bedroom. “Come to Daddy and suck my dick! I want to watch and make a video of you sucking this anaconda, baby!” I pulled out my gun and pointed it at him after kicking down his door. The asshole even screamed like a girl when he saw us. “Who are you?” He asked. “What do you want?” “When someone told me about you, I thought you were scary and had one eye or a scar across your eye, but now I just feel pity for you. I’m sure you don’t even know who we are, Rio.” I leaned toward his bed as he buttoned his pants. “Do you want money?” He asked. “I have money, and you can tell me your figures; I don’t care.” “Do you know Travis?” “Yeah.” “Well, we are here because it seems like you’ve been making life a little difficult for him. I’m sure you don’t know just how easy it is for someone to kill you on the spot.” “We can talk as men,” he begged. “There’s no need for anyone to die.” Cole and I laughed as we looked at each other. It was crazy how Travis was so quick to exile himself because of someone as pathetic as Rio. “Why should we allow such useless sperm to live?” Cole poked him. “If it weren’t for your father, you wouldn’t think so highly of yourself as to hire people to get jobs done that you’re too lazy to do yourself. If you wanted people to fear you, you were supposed to do the job yourself, Rio.” I pulled out my gun and cocked it as I pointed it at him. “Sorry, buddy, but you’re too young for this world.” I shot two bullets into his chest, and he fell on the floor, gasping for air as he took his last breaths, and then died. Cole and I poured his body with the whiskey he had been drinking, and lit his body from a matchbox we found on his counter. We then walked back to the car and drove off before anyone could notice the smoke from the house. I was in disbelief at how easy it was to get the job done. When I got to my office at the Banks Mining site building, I texted Naeve and let her know Rio was dead and that she could try to get her brother back. She immediately called me after seeing my text, and though I didn’t want to talk with her, I ended up answering the call. “Thank you so much, Sanny!” She squealed. “I knew you could take care of the problem for me. If you want, I can come over to your place and show you just how grateful I am to rely on you.” I gulped. Camilla was angry at me, and fuck, I needed the damn release after having such a long week. “Come to my office at the mining site. Wear nothing under your winter coat.” “Yes, Daddy.” I hung up the call as I leaned back in my chair and smirked. I could already imagine her grinding her ass on my crotch while feeling her wet and tight walls around my length. Someone knocked on the door, snapping me back to reality from my fantasies. One of my employees from the site, Frank, was sweating and looking very spooked. He was gasping for air as he closed the door behind him. “Sir, a terrible accident has occurred at the site. One of our interns was monitoring the miners when he went inside the site to check on the progress, but an explosion occurred, claiming 3 lives on the spot, including our intern, Nikolai’s son,” he reported, almost out of breath. “Nikolai’s son is dead?” I asked as I stood up from my chair, shocked to my core about the news and knowing how much Nikolai loved his son, he was going to sue our company for his son’s death. “Our technical team couldn’t send warnings at the right for the miners to leave the site because of a fault in our cables. It took too long for the message to be conveyed for them to leave on time before an explosion occurred.” I groaned. I seriously did not need to deal with that after all the crap I was already dealing with. “Nikolai will sue us for that boy’s death, Frank. Why in the world did you allow him to go on site without proper precautions? Do you know that the company could lose a lawsuit if Nikolai files one against us?” “It was an accident, sir.” I took my jacket from my chair and put the white helmet on my head as I headed out to the site with Frank. “The public must hear our side of the story before the press publishes a distorted version that blames us for the boy’s death.” “Yes, sir.” Frank agreed. When we got to the site, there was already a swarm of engineers trying to get the 3 bodies out from the mine. “Sir,” Frank tapped me on the shoulder, and when I turned around and looked at him, he gave me a ringing cell phone. “It belongs to Quinn. His father, Nikolai, is calling.”•SANTINO•“Nikolai,” I answered the call.“Who’s this?” he asked.“You’re speaking to Santino. I’m afraid that you have to come to the Banks Mining site. We can’t talk on the phone.”“What? Where’s my son? I want to talk to him now.”“I’m sorry, Mr. Sanders, but you have to come to the company right away. It’s urgent.”“If anything happened to my son, Santino, you’re going to regret it. You’re going to mold him to life with your own hands. That’s a promise.”He hung up the call, and I gave the cell phone back to Frank and walked back to my office.‘Fuck.’ I got inside my office and made a call to the social media team and to our journalist so that we could get the story about the incident in public before someone distorts the entire story.I looked at my wristwatch, and it was already nearing 5 PM. I had to make sure that I was done by 6 PM so that I could get everything ready with Cole.“Hey, Daddy. I’m here,” Naeve’s voice snapped me to earth as she closed the door and walked toward
CAMILLA•“Oh, baby, I hope you’re going to get well soon. You know that our home is not complete without you. In the meantime, I’ll manage our factories and make sure that everything runs smoothly,” Cecilia said to my father.“Thank you, honey, but I’m fine.” My father insisted.“You can rest, Dad, and trust Asher and me to oversee the hotels that you entrusted to our care. We won’t let you down. We will make sure that everything runs smoothly.”“Yes, Dad, including the Elysian Fields Mall that Paxton and I have been overlooking these past few months. We are going to make sure that we don’t let you down.”Do you see?” Cecilia beamed. “You can trust us to take care of the family business. You can tell Santino that I am a capable person for the project. I know the ins and outs of our business, Don.”I rolled my eyes as I walked to the door and left. There was no use. They all acted oblivious to my presence, anyway, so there was no need to be there.Luckily, we were at a very exclusive h
•CAMILLA•“Miss Camilla,” the butler, Alec, bowed his head after opening the front door for me.“Hey, Alec. Thank you.” I walked straight ahead and saw Paxton approaching in the hallway.“Hey, Pax. Is Dad home? I need to talk to him.”“What’s happening? Is there anything wrong?” He asked when he saw the frown on my face as I looked in the living room and then bolted my eyes to the staircase, leading to his study.“There’s nothing wrong. You don’t have to worry about that,” I was frowning. I was angry and hormonal.I was tired of Cecilia’s abuse and wanted to put an end to it all. I didn’t want to be abused by her in my father’s house anymore. But before I could step onto the staircase to the second floor, Asher was already in my face.I was angry at him. He was my brother and didn’t have to say all the things he said to me, all because of Cecilia.“Get out of my way, Asher, I’m not here for you,” I hissed.“Father is busy,” he responded.“I don’t care; I will see my father if I want t

•CAMILLA•“My God, can you believe what’s trending?” Francesca scoffed as I walked into the living room and found her on her laptop.“What is it?” I asked, sitting down with my bowl of cereal.“Sasha Ross,” she looked at me. “She told the journalists that she left the Parus shopping store because two women were invading her privacy and making her uncomfortable. She called us opportunists.”I rolled my eyes with a sigh. “Well, I hope she’ll leave Chicago soon before we bump into Lucius. I don’t want to see him.”“Seems like she wasn’t planning on being in Chicago for too long. Her new location on her social media is New York City.”“That’s better.”“My God, we have to expose her, Camilla. She’s not related to you. I can’t believe she has the nerve to flaunt herself as a fake Ross on social media.”“We should let her do as she wants, Francesca. She won’t be able to keep her lie for too long, anyway.”“I just hate her fucking nerves. She must be arrested for this. I wonder what Lucius is
•SANTINO•“Shit,” I sighed as I picked up the pictures from the floor. She busted me.My cell phone rang as I put the pictures inside the envelope and placed it inside my bedside drawer.“Yes, Paul?”“I have four men with me, sir. Two of them are good with their guns; one is a martial arts teacher, and the other is Giovanni’s former bodyguard. They let him go after he was absent from work, attending to his sick mother.”“That’s good. Thank you, Paul. Please tell them to be in my office at the club by 9 in the morning. I have to talk with them in person.”“Alright, sir.”I hung up the call, and though I was angry that Camilla got inside my room and snooped around while I wasn’t around, I had to explain the pictures that she found.I went to the third floor and knocked on her door. She didn’t answer, but I could hear her sniffling.“Camilla, I’m sorry. I know what you saw was strange, but I wasn’t stalking you. You were gone for quite a long time, and I needed to know that you were okay
•CAMILLA•“Camilla, what are you doing in my room?”I looked at the pictures on the floor and felt my blood boiling. Yes, I invaded his privacy by coming into his room, but he had been stalking me for years! One picture was taken after a year I had been in Brooklyn, and during that time, I was already married to Lucius. My mind was all over the place, and my heart was racing. I was angry. I was fuming and knew that I wouldn’t be able to say the right words, so I walked out the door and said nothing to him. When I got to the third floor, I got inside my room and locked the door behind me. I kept pacing up and down, asking myself what the pictures meant.Santino and I shared only one night of pleasure, then we were strangers until he arrived home with my stepmother, and my stepmother told me he was my arranged husband.I remembered the day perfectly when he walked into the living room, and when he saw me, he scowled. It was clear he didn’t agree with the whole thing as well. He didn’t w
•CAMILLA•“Have you heard that Lucius Hall got married to Don Ross’s niece? It’s believed that his brother, Daniel, has a daughter, and she’s the one who just tied the knot with the billionaire in Florida.”“Really? I wonder why we haven’t seen the family together, especially Camilla Ross. She’s also the only daughter of Don Ross. I expected that she would have social media platforms to flaunt her fabulous lifestyle and wealth.”“Maybe she doesn’t like the spotlight. I’ve heard that she’s not ideal to look at. Makes sense why she’s being hidden from the public.”I scoffed as I turned off the podcast and got up from the couch. I put on my coat and went to get something to eat from the kitchen that I shared with Santino.“I don’t think that she should be in charge of the project. We both know that she knows nothing about the family business, Don. When are you going to realize that your daughter is a leech who wants to feed off other people’s hard work and not do anything for herself?!”
•SANTINO•“Haley?”She chuckled when she saw me. “I knew I had to lie about having a baby to see you. I can’t believe that you’re still a playboy, buddy.”“What are you doing here?”“It’s been a long time, Sanny. I had to come over and check up on you. The last time we saw each other, it was during Derrick’s funeral.”Derrick’s funeral was 2 years ago. He was one of my best friends, and a shootout killed him. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time.“You know you didn’t have to lie about your name and being pregnant for me if you wanted to see me.” I opened the door in my office and let her in.“Well, you and I left things hanging the last time you returned to Chicago. So, how was I to know that you still wanted to see me?”I turned to her and scoffed. “Your brother didn’t want us together, remember? I didn’t want to make you choose between me and your family.”“Travis just wanted to see if you had balls. I guess you proved him otherwise.”“Does he know that you’re here?”She sigh
