When Naomi woke up, Butley Kay informed her that Atlas had already left for work.
"Mr. Knox usually wakes up at seven and leaves for work at eight," Butley Kay explained.
Naomi immediately felt a little guilty. "Ah… I woke up too late."
She made a mental note to set an alarm from now on. She had thought a lot last night—something about her relationship with Atlas felt off, as if there were things she couldn't remember.
"But, Mrs. Knox, Mr. Knox left instructions. If you’re bored, you should go shopping. This card is for you," Butley Kay said, handing her a black card.
Naomi took it and, in an instant, her worries disappeared.
Only five people in the world had that black card—and her husband had given one to her. Wasn’t that proof their marriage was solid?
"Then I'll go shopping after breakfast!"
A surge of excitement washed over her. After all, what woman could possibly resist the joy of shopping?
After finishing her meal, Naomi let the driver take her to the largest shopping mall in Elaris. She didn't have anything specific in mind to buy—she just wanted to enjoy a casual shopping trip. So, she leisurely strolled around the first floor.
When she reached the fourth-floor men's clothing store, she suddenly became interested—she wanted to buy clothes for her husband.
If she placed the new clothes in her own wardrobe, surely her husband would stop insisting on sleeping in separate rooms.
Heh, she was such a little genius.
Naomi focused mostly on men's casual wear, her bright eyes scanning the store's selection. The sales associates at the high-end boutique in Elaris Mall were naturally sharp-eyed.
Even though her face was unfamiliar, her clothing’s high-quality fabric and her overall demeanor made it obvious—this was a wealthy customer.
A tall saleswoman approached her. “Miss, do you need any assistance? We just received a new collection of men's casual wear.”
“Show me.”
The saleswoman was delighted. Most customers bought suits, even if they were expensive, but casual wear that rivaled the price of suits? That was rare. The new collection they had just received was nearly twice as expensive as a regular suit.
“Of course, Miss. Please follow me.”
The saleswoman quickly signaled to her colleague, and the two of them hurriedly displayed the newly arrived casualwear.
Naomi's eyes immediately landed on a pure black long-sleeve hoodie. In her mind, she could already picture Atlas wearing it, striding toward her. Just as she was about to say she would take it, a sharp voice from a distance interrupted her.
“Kalea, this suit looks amazing!”
Then came another voice, laced with teasing. “Oh? Are you planning to buy it for my brother?”
Naomi frowned slightly but quickly shook her head. This had nothing to do with her.
“Wrap it up for me.”
Just as she spoke, the two women who had just entered froze upon seeing her.
Kalea stared at Naomi in disbelief. A moment ago, she had only seen her back and didn’t recognize her, but now she realized—this was her so-called sister-in-law!
Naomi wore a fiery red slip dress, her hair styled in loose waves cascading over her fair shoulders. She exuded an irresistible charm, yet there was an undeniable hint of innocence to her beauty.
Disgust flickered in Kalea’s eyes, while the woman standing next to her radiated jealousy.
Naomi was well aware of their gazes lingering on her, but she paid them no mind. After all, who didn’t like looking at beautiful people?
Kalea had originally been waiting for this ‘sister-in-law’ to come over and flatter her, but to her shock, Naomi completely ignored her.
Furious, she shouted, “Naomi, how dare you pretend not to know me?!”
Naomi paused and turned to look at Kalea.
Did this person know her?
With that thought, she directly asked, “Do you know me?”
Kalea and the woman beside her, Lylia, were both stunned.
“What kind of game are you playing now?” Kalea snapped impatiently.
Naomi could hear the impatience in Kalea’s voice. Even though she had lost her memory and didn’t recognize this person, it wasn’t hard to guess—they were definitely not close friends.
“I already asked who you are. Don’t you know you should introduce yourself before talking to someone?”
Kalea had never imagined she’d be treated this way in front of Naomi. After all, Naomi had always been obedient to her and her mother for the sake of her brother, never daring to defy them.
“You dare talk to me like that? Pretending not to recognize me? Do you believe I won’t tell my brother?!”
Clearly provoked by Naomi’s indifferent attitude, Kalea completely lost her composure and even started shouting at her in public, throwing all pretense of being a refined lady out the window.
Lylia noticed the curious gazes coming from all directions and quickly grabbed Kalea’s arm. “Kalea, calm down. We’re in public.”
Naomi was speechless. ‘Your brother? Who the hell is your brother, and why should I care?’
“You really think you’re something special, huh?”
Kalea paused, confused. What was that supposed to mean? Then she saw the smirk tug at Naomi’s lips.
“Pastel nails and a fake pout—trying way too hard to play the innocent little girl.”
What else do you call someone who throws a tantrum and runs off to snitch?
Kalea stared at Naomi in utter disbelief. Was this really the same woman who used to bow and scrape in front of her?
Naomi, however, couldn’t care less about what she was thinking. This woman didn’t even exist in her memories.
“Miss, here’s your purchase.”
The store assistant carefully handed Naomi her shopping bag, clearly reluctant to get involved. Both of these women seemed to have powerful backgrounds—definitely not people she could afford to offend.
Lylia’s eyes landed on the bag. It was obviously men’s casualwear. Immediately, she put on a pitiful expression. “Miss Swift, Kael likes wearing suits. He won’t like casual clothes.”
Naomi raised an eyebrow. ‘And who is this now? Kael? Why would I be buying anything for someone named Kael?’

Jax knew they weren’t here with good intentions—they were clearly sent by Atlas. The car was already totaled. He had nowhere to run. Silently, he hid a pistol behind his back, planning to ambush them while getting out. But before he could move, a sniper’s bullet hit him square in the calf.“Ahh!”After suffering injury after injury over the past few days, Jax was overwhelmed by the searing pain. The pistol slipped from his grip. Shadow Reaper approached with a frosty expression. “You? Insulting our master and madam? Know your place. ”Clutching his arm, Jax collapsed to the ground. The freshly bandaged wounds from earlier that morning were torn open again, pain blazing through his limbs.“What… What do you want?”Shadow Reaper’s lips curled into a cruel smile. “What do we want? You should be asking yourself what you wanted when you had the audacity to hu
Jax was confused. “No, I’m not leaving. Right now, Atlas’s people are still in the hospital. Kael, you’re not safe. I have to stay by your side.”“No, they won’t kill me—not yet. But you must leave. I have a feeling... Atlas will come after you next. Right now, you’re the only one I trust. Jax, please go. Don’t make me lose you too.”Kael’s determined tone made Jax hesitate. But then Kael pushed harder, his voice sharp and commanding: “This isn’t a request. I’m ordering you as the Boss of Wicked Talon!”Jax turned sharply, his voice bitter and reluctant. “…Yes, Boss.”...Back in the hospital room, Atlas watched as Naomi busied herself with cleaning. Since returning, she hadn’t let her hands stop for even a second. But if you looked closely, her eyes weren’t actually focused on what she was doing.
Naomi hadn’t expected to run into them here. Her gaze flicked to their arms before she sneered, “Good dogs don’t block the road. I don’t see any reason we need to greet each other.”With her arms crossed over her chest, Naomi lazily let her eyes sweep over their hostile stares.Sitting in his wheelchair, Atlas didn’t look at all disadvantaged. The moment Naomi spoke, his previously shadowed gaze softened—Naomi was clearly standing up for him.Kael’s pupils contracted. The image of Naomi pointing a gun at him without hesitation flashed through his mind, and he felt a pain far worse than being shot—hundreds, thousands of times worse.“You’re not Naomi!”He stared at Naomi’s indifferent eyes and remembered how she used to be—a delicate girl who loved wearing white dresses. But now, every time he saw her, she wore bright colors, her makeup flawless and striking. Could a
Finnick only realized what he’d said after it slipped out of his mouth. Crap—he’d totally exposed himself. He slapped his own mouth in frustration. Why hadn’t he just kept it shut?Naomi had no idea Atlas already knew about the whole thing, so she looked a little guilty. The man, however, was watching her with an amused smirk. “Naomi’s pretty impressive, huh? Took down Kael’s whole operation all on her own?”Naomi awkwardly touched her hair. “If I say it wasn’t me—that it was Tristo and Finnick—would you believe me?”Now it was Atlas’s turn to fall silent. Did Naomi think he was stupid? As if he couldn’t tell those two only moved on her orders? But still, he played along with a soft smile. “No matter what you say, I’ll believe you.”Naomi pressed her lips together. “Then can you hand over that Robin guy you mentioned?&rd
Naomi’s face remained expressionless. “Tell Tristo to keep a close eye on him.”“Got it. I’ll take care of it. Don’t worry.”Inside the hospital room, Atlas’s expression darkened when he saw the two people coming in. If he remembered correctly, this was one of the people who had been following Naomi that day—and clearly someone who didn’t like him.Finnick, instead of acting like a concerned visitor, casually sat down on the nearby sofa. “Yo, my bad. Forgot to bring you a rose or something.”Atlas didn’t care about his tone and just looked at him, already munching on an apple. “Naomi, aren’t you going to introduce us?”Naomi had been completely stunned by Finnick’s casual behavior when he came in. She only came back to her senses after Atlas reminded her.“Atlas, this is Finnick Doug, my friend—you met him before.”&
After Shadow Blade finished speaking, Atlas's face remained expressionless."Boss, should we investigate?" Shadow Reaper asked, glancing at the person lying in bed.Everyone knew exactly what he meant. It was already suspicious enough that a proper lady possessed such a high level of combat skill."No need!" Atlas answered without hesitation.Shadow Reaper wanted to say more, but Shadow Blade stopped him."Boss, we captured a few people—they're from Wicked Talon—but we haven't been able to get anything useful out of them."Shadow Blade recalled the men they caught yesterday. Those scouts were likely just small fry who didn’t know anything valuable. But Robin was different. He probably knew something, but he also had the tightest lips.“How’s Kael doing now?”Shadow Blade remembered seeing Naomi leave the hospital the night before. “Boss, according to our investigation, Kael and a
