Chapter 12: As Your Boss, I Command You

The guards were holding both my arms. Guiding me towards the living room. Where I supposed, Hunter was there.

His mansion was superb. More than spacious. As I stepped foot inside the living room, his cologne greeted me.

I looked all over. But he wasn’t there yet. His natural scent wafted in the air. I hate to admit this. But I can sniff it all day and have no complaints at all.

I don’t want to sound like I am obsessed with Hunter. Clearly not. I’m setting the boundary that I am not his friend. Nor ever will be.

My mission is important. This undercover thing means a lot to me. My career and future is at stake.

They threw me in the couch. I glared sharply at them. A smirk was their response.

It didn’t take long before I heard steps approaching us.

My heart raced fast when the steps became clearer and clearer.
