Angel’s POV

Finally we made it, I turned to Rider and hugged him. He smiled and hugged me back.

Rider and I met in our first year at college, he said my eyes sparkled like a thousand stars in the sky and he couldn’t stop looking at me in Bio. Since our first class he moved desks just to talk to me and we hit it off.

Now in our final year of college, we are coming up to our 3 year anniversary. I am hoping we will end the year with a ring on my finger and a wedding date in the diary. It’s something that’s been discussed at great length.

Rider is 6”1 and the son of a Beta, muscular and his midnight black hair makes his features pop. He’s stunning. Although we have fooled around, I am saving my virginity for marriage and he has always been so supportive of that.

My family was killed last year when rogues attacked our eastern border. It’s been a hard time and Rider has stood by me. When I lost my sister who was also my best friend along with my biggest supporters my mum and dad, I was lost. In complete chaos I have had to fight to keep my college placement, fight for the life insurance payout and fight to keep my home, all while trying to keep on top of my studies and gain extra credits with my volunteering.

Things are finally looking up. I have the love of a wonderful man who is to become the beta of our next Alpha Damon. Damon doesn’t go out much but from what I have heard he is a womaniser, arrogant and ruthless. Rider said as long as he can gain the Alphas trust we will live a life of luxury.

I'm 19 now and it’s my 20th in 1 month. Rider turned 20 3 weeks ago and his family threw a massive party where we expected the future Alpha to turn up but he didn’t. Everyone is saying he’s getting fed up with his parents setting him up with eligible females.

The only way of getting out of an arranged marriage is to meet his mate. Rumours are that he won’t take the Alpha title until he finds his true mate. Rider is counting on it not being any time soon, that way we can finish our education and I can get my career going too.

I’m not looking forward to meeting our future ruthless ruler but I will also be the Beta of his Luna as that is the role of the Betas wife so I’m hoping he isn’t as cruel as others insinuated.

My final year in college is going to be amazing. I have passed all my other exams with flying colours and got top grades, this year I have 3 final exams in 7 month and until then it’s coursework and getting my hours on placement at the pack hospital. Silverwood have the most wonderful hospital, renowned for his amazing care. My hard work paid off and I was granted 1 of 3 placements.

I’m mostly in the ED however I have been able to assist in Trauma Units with surgery and rehabilitation. My end goal is to be a leading trauma consultant just like Dr Bridge who everyone looks up to and I am no different. His work is legendary and if I am able to pass this year with top grades then I could be considered to work under him for my Degree.

My life was on the up and I felt like nothing could bring me down from cloud 9.

    Angel agreed to listen to Deon’s story, I was too angry and agitated, I called Alpha Jonah to meet in my office. When he walked into the office I watched his face closely as he saw his Beta. To my surprise he looked shocked, “Deon is everything ok? Why are you here? Where is my family?” Many questions all came out at once.Deon sat and told us all his story, their Luna had gone to visit another pack to see her family, Beta Deon stayed in Blackridge territory to run the pack and sent other pack guards to keep her and the children protected.     Damon’s POVAlpha Jonah seems to be watching as my Luna is telling me about her day and I can’t help but feel suspicious of him. Although he has proven to be an ally in helping with our issue of the rogue king there seems to be something that he is hiding.Well I Guide my angel and we go for a walk to discuss how my day went. He even watches us leave the room.     Damon’s POVToday we are on the hunt for the final ingredients of the spell, the Elder and Angel are sure they know of its location and Angel is adamant I make all the arrangements with the warriors, she wants them fully prepared and she has requested I address the pack mates around town and make them aware of our plans. She is worried incase they are put in danger and if they are not aware they could be taken off guard and harmed. With proper information they can prepare and make arrangements to protect themselves while the fighting commences. And I agree with her. Protecting the pack is still our priority and she has never lost sight of that.I gather all the guards, and start the organising. And I arrange a town meeting in the main town square for later in the day.     Alpha Jonah puts his men into groups to help us with the searches. After a tiring night of mating with my love, I am ready for these searches today. We have extra teams and not as many buildings left to search which means then we can focus our energy on the boarders and Angel can draw in the rogue king.After a few hours, the searches of the properties within our Packlands a complete and we all regroup so we can strategise and protect our borders effectively. We do make the gods aware of the plan which will likely see the rogue king pulled towards our borders and we have advised our teams to be vigilant. If the king turns up alone and seems dazed, they are to just follow him maintaining a safe distance while still leaving plenty of cover on the border where he entered.We expect the teams to work together and support each other. Although angel has not yet done the spell she is intending on doing we are thinking that she will be ready today or tomorrow in which case everyone else needs
