Chapter 8
*Jax's POV*
Gunner and I stood just inside the tree line so we wouldn’t be spotted. I wanted to run out and kill both of those men but Gunner held me back. He reminded me that Alida wouldn’t let any harm come to Tora but as her mate my lycan wanted to protect her. After watching the whole event unfold there were a few times we had to suppress our laughter. Koa always did like to toy around with her enemies before killing them. I almost forgot how cruel her since of humor could be.
After the two guys left to take the message back to Tora’s father, the rest of us emerged from the woods. We came out of all directions. Koa was still out, along with Maggie.
“Maggie!” I cried out running up to her in my lycan form.
“Jax?” Maggie asked looking at me.
“Yes. It’s me.” I answered calmly slowing down because I had completely forgotten that Maggie hadn’t seen me in my lycan form

*Cheyenne’s POV*Gunner and I were the first to show up at the same building we had met everyone before. Gunner held the door open for me while I walked in and flashed him a small smile. I saw the same short stout man from the first time we met here coming down the hall.“Good morning miss.” He said with a smile.“Good morning.” I smiled back with a slight nod of my head.“Your room is all set and ready for you per Alpha Nik’s request.” He informed me.“Thank you very much. F.E.A.R. Chapter 11 - A Whole Lot of WTF
*Cheyenne’s POV*I wasn’t exactly sure how to bring the subject up to Tyler that his mate was at our meeting, much less ask him why she would’ve been there, one that even he couldn’t be at. Do I just rip the Band-Aid off, so to speak, and just come right out and say it? Was there a way to even sugarcoat it to try to break it to him nicely? No, I couldn’t do that, because he would know then that something was up because that’s not me. It was only yesterday, and I didn’t get much sleep last night because of this. *Cheyenne's POV*“Ok, first things first. We have no idea what the hunters are planning, much less when they’ll attack. Same for the dragons. Teagan said it’s been radio silent for a while. BUT what we do know is there is a party for me and Maggie on Friday. Also, when’s the last time anyone has seen Ben or Chelsea? Let’s go check on them and make sure Chelsea hasn’t killed him yet. ***Cheyenne’s POV***Gunner didn’t seem phased by it, so we kept going. It didn’t take long to find Chelsea. She was giving out orders to everyone. They were all still under the impression that this was just going to be a pack BBQ tonight.
