Chapter 15

IVY’S POV

“Oh goodness..” I sigh and place my hand on my chest. My Heart is pounding so loud and hard.

“Who are you!?” Asher had growled at me, clenching his hand on my throat. He had already given me the beaten of my life, smashing me from one trunk to the other like some worthless fly.

I had raised my head slowly and with the little strength remaining in me, I pushed and scratched him from his neck to his right shoulder. That distracted him for a second. It gave the the opportunity to hit the road.

I propelled myself with the last strength left in me and jumped. I landed on the ground and hit the road. I forgot to pick up my bag. Regrettably, I forgot my mask as well.

He chased after me, but before he could get himself to chase after me, I have already given him some distance. I wasn’t running straightforwardly. Thanks to the moon goddess, I found a bush to hide inside. He ran pass me but didn’t know I was there.

I hid there till I was sure that he wasn’t chasing after me anymore
