Chapter 28

IVY’S POV

My eyes gloat at Taika as she stands with her eyes directed at me. She has a scowl that covers her face and shadows overwhelm all of us as the room is quite dark.

I live close to her with my heart throbbing because I’m wondering what she has in mind for me this time around. She remains mute till I stand in front of her. I don’t feel good. I feel as though my heart has drowned in my stomach.

“Ivy Timber..” she calls out and takes a step forward. She was relaxing on a table which has some foodstuffs on it. Zooey is behind me while I stand in the middle.

I do not give a response to her call, I remain dumb and glare at her. “How are you?” She quizzes and postures in front of me. Her eyes bulged out of her eye bags and peered directly into my orbs. I pick my dry lips soft and it scratches my tongue due to its hostile state.
