Chapter Twelve - Rogues

The forest was pitch black. The grass was crispy under my feet. I looked up, and the trees were steeples tall.

The night stars were shining like silver snowflakes, and the Moon watched me as I went deeper into the forest.

I tucked away the dagger I had stolen from Lincoln when he assisted me to the garden.

I wondered how Nova was handling things, but then if it wasn't going well, an army of soldiers would have been after me by now.

Drops of rain hit my face, and before I could look up to the sky, It all came pouring down on me.

I looked around searching for shade as I stood drenched in the rain, I walked further only to find a cave barely covered behind the trees.

I dashed in, scanning my surroundings, the cave was bright with only the entrance I came in as the only way out.

Furthermore, I sat on the cold rocky ground, watching the rain pour down. My eyelids began to feel heavy as I brought my knees up to my chest, folded my arms, and embraced the darkness.
