~ARET~ Mother sent me back home to wear something appropriate for the event, what she means is that I should put on a dress. When I stepped into the house, Lorraine and Laurel were already dressed and playing board games in the sitting room, while the heat from the fireplace gave warmth to the room. “Hey, Freak!” I turned to face the twins, their hair was up in a ponytail and their green eyes, which they inherited from dad, boreholes into my skin. “Since you're going to be a few feet away at the event, we don't want anyone telling us how bad our little sister's fashion taste is, so we got you this,” Laurel said, handing me a hanger that held a black knee-length dress with a white leather jacket and white boots. “Oh my Goddess, guys!” I felt emotional as I admired the outfit. “Oh, please, don't get so emotional, we are only doing this to save ourselves the horror of hearing you're shuffling around looking for an outfit.” Lorraine snaps at me, making me nod in happiness. “You have

~•ARET•~ I walked through the forest, and the smell of burning trees filled my nostrils. I was a mile away from the tribe, smoke filling my lungs. Not only that, but I could hear screams and wails through the woods, I trembled running to the tribe. As I got to the tribe gates, a big wolf with red blazing eyes snarled at me. He was of the Crescent Hills Tribe, only they had red-eyed wolves. The wolf growled, running after me as I took on my heel and ran. I could hear his growls behind me as I ran. “Help!” I yelled, but no one could hear me, my voice was weak and little. I tumbled on a tree branch, making me land my butt on the cold grass, sustaining an injury. I hissed biting my lip drawing blood. The wolf had already caught up to me, taunting my every step as I tried to crawl backward, my fingers were intertwined with the grass, so I was stuck. “Help! Lorraine! Laurel! Help! Mom!” “Help?” I could hear the wolf's voice in my head. “No one's coming to save you.” “No,” I shook

Chapter Six – Know your place~•MOBALI•~I growl in outrage, slamming him to the other side of the room, still tied to the chair, blood oozing out of his forehead.“You don't get to ask the questions, warden,” Kenan says to him, pulling his chair up and putting it in place.“Your Majesty, please,” he begged, it sounded like music to my ears.“So, what did you do to her?”“What?”“Explain it to me,” I demand.“I pushed her to the wall…”“Pushed her? With what?”“With m-my hands.” I stared at the tray of torture devices.“Which hand?”“Huh?”“Which hand was that?” I asked again, “m-my right hand”I hummed, picking up a silver axe and turning towards him.I slammed the axe into his wrists, cutting off his right hand in the process.“Ahh!!!” He screamed, squirming in anguish as the silver seeped into his open wound.I passed the axe to Kenan, who cleaned it with a cloth, placing the axe back in its position.“Your majesty please, if I had known she was your mate, I wouldn't have touched h

~•ARET•~Dressed in maid clothes and pushing a trolley of food, was Hawaii and I walking through the dungeons with the trolley in between us.“Your majesty, I feel like my head will be cut off any moment.” Hawaii whimpered, making me place my hand on hers.“Stop!” We halted, the guards walking towards us.“What's in it?” One questioned, tapping his baton on the aluminum tray.“We have brought food for the prisoners,” I spoke up l, watching as the guard opened the food, picking a bagel.“You can go,” he says, unlocking the gates for us to pass through.I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, the air was cold and chilly. I wondered if nova got any warmth.“Hehehe!” A prisoner laughed as we passed by her cell.“They got you too, huh?” Another whispered, Hawaii, clinging unto me in fear.“Guess what?”What?“They got me too.” She cackled, Hawaii, looking like she wanted to be anywhere but certainly not here.As we walked further, we got to a cell that seemed isolated from others.

~•ARET•~I brought my knees up to my chest, sobbing while Hawaii tried consoling me.“I always knew I was cursed from birth!” I sniffled while taking the strawberry caramel ice cream that Hawaii had brought for me.“I hope this cools your mood, get it? Cools.” Hawaii says pun-intended.I glare at her as she gulps, sitting next to me.“It's okay, Luna.”“It's not okay! I'm so cursed, I got a scary and heartless alpha who doesn't love me as my mate.”I remembered the way Supreme Alpha Mobali had glared at me, giving me that look. The hatred in his eyes made me cringe in fear. He didn't want me, no one did.I walk towards my balcony, resting on the railings as I tried jumping down.“Luna!” Hawaii screamed, making Lincoln burst into the room, rushing to help me get down. "Let me go! Why don't I get to be loved?' I sobbed, yanking my arms away from their reach.“ I never asked for any of this,” I say, crawling up to my fluffy bed and rubbing my eyes as I plopped onto the soft bed.I coul
