~ARET~
Mother sent me back home to wear something appropriate for the event, what she means is that I should put on a dress.
When I stepped into the house, Lorraine and Laurel were already dressed and playing board games in the sitting room, while the heat from the fireplace gave warmth to the room.
“Hey, Freak!” I turned to face the twins, their hair was up in a ponytail and their green eyes, which they inherited from dad, boreholes into my skin.
“Since you're going to be a few feet away at the event, we don't want anyone telling us how bad our little sister's fashion taste is, so we got you this,” Laurel said, handing me a hanger that held a black knee-length dress with a white leather jacket and white boots.
“Oh my Goddess, guys!” I felt emotional as I admired the outfit.
“Oh, please, don't get so emotional, we are only doing this to save ourselves the horror of hearing you're shuffling around looking for an outfit.” Lorraine snaps at me, making me nod in happiness.
“You have ten minutes!” She yells as I run up the stairs and into my room, peeling off my old clothes and putting on the outfit the twins gave me. I pack my hair in French braid style, put a gloss on my lips, grab my minibag, and run down the stairs.
“Now you look less of a freak,” Lorraine smirked, walking out the door with laurel.
“A werewolf would suffice, “I mutter, trailing behind them.

The sun had set, and every pack member was seated around the fire while I and my best friend-actually my only true friend, The Zeta's daughter, Nova were put in charge of the food stand.
“ Look at how Logan is glowing just sitting by the fire,” she says, staring at the Alpha's son dreamily.
Nova was a nineteen-year-old blonde with gray eyes and a body figure just like mine. We were sometimes called twins because we looked alike, but as always, I was the 'freak twin'.
“You know he is mated, right?” I said
d pointing at his mate sitting a few meters away from him.Werewolves can find their mate once they attain the age of eighteen. My brother has found his, but the twins don't even want to search for theirs because they aren't ready to live a life without each other.
For Nova and I, we haven't found our mates…yet.
“Let me decide on whom I want to crush on, and besides, his mate wouldn't mind sharing him.” She hands a plate over to a pup who smiled, revealing their pearly milk teeth.
“That's disgusting.”
We finished distributing the refreshments and settled on a log of wood, watching the dancers move to the beat of the drums around the fire and the storytellers trying their best to scare the hell out of us.
The trees were still, and the weather was cold, Nova inning onto me for warmth as we listened to the storyteller.
“With a broken hand, she shifted into her-”.
Thud.
A man was thrown at the center of the gathering, his heart had been ripped out of his rib cage his limbs broken, and his bloody bones sticking out of his flesh. It was a horrific sight to see.
I knew this man.
He was one of the werewolves that patrolled our borders. His head snapped towards my direction as if controlled by witchcraft. Blood oozed from his broken jaw, and his eyeballs rolled to the back.
“ Run.”
Screams erupted as wolves emerged from the forests, killing every Night wing tribe member they came across.
“It's the Crescent Hills Tribe!”
Nova and I jolted from our seats, running towards the only place we have been taught to go when we were attacked.
The Safe Room.
Running, I could see my brother and my father behind the Alpha as they charged toward the Crescent Hills Tribe.
We rushed into the Tribe House, pushing the big refrigerator aside and slipping into the secret hallway before placing the refrigerator in place.
“Girls!” Startled, Nova and I turned in the direction of the voice and sighed.
It was just the Luna.
“Hurry in! I'm about to lock the door!” She yelled, making us rush into the safe room where countless females were seated on the chairs all agitated.
The pups and pregnant she-wolves were placed in the room adjacent to where we were, they were safer there.
Nova sniffed beside me, “Nova, are you-are you crying?”
I pull her into my arms as she sobbed profusely, “you know my dad Is the zeta, he is the war general of our tribe, and my brother is the future zeta, that Is to say, they are both at the war front! I already lost my mother A, I don't want to lose them.”
Speaking of family, I look around the crowd of women searching for the twins and my mother, but they were nowhere to be seen.
“Nova, my mom and sisters, they aren't here.” Nova's eyes widened in fear.
I had to go look for them.
“Wait, where are you going?” Holding my wants Nova asked with furrowed brows.
“To find my family,”
“Without me?” She smirked as she led us towards the door where the Luna and the female delta stood.
“Where are you girls off to? There is war and no one's life is safe outside.” The Female Delta asks.
“That's why we are going to find our kin,” Nova responds, the Luna shaking her head in disagreement.
“With all due respect Luna, it's our choice to make, not yours.” As those words left my mouth, the Luna's eyes widen in surprise While the Delta opened the huge metal door for us to pass.
We run out of the safe room, puling the refrigerator back in place. “We have to separate.”
I nod, hugging Nova as we both ran opposite directions. “Don't die,” she says through the mind link.
As I run further, the smell of burning wood reaches my nostrils as I stare at the tribe, half of our land had been burnt to the ground.
Few werewolves, that I recognized as the Night wing tribe fought off the invading tribe. Howls echoed throughout the night while my heart thumped in fear.
As I walked closer, I stumbled upon a body which made tears flow out of my eyes.
~. THREE YEARS LATER.~The grand celebration of the twin pups' third birthday filled the palace with joy and laughter. The twins stood together, side by side, staring at the birthday cake in front of them, adorned with three flickering candles. As the room echoed with cheerful voices wishing them a happy birthday, Mobali stepped up to a podium, his proud gaze fixed on the twins. "It's been three years since the great battle," he began, his voice strong and full of pride. "It's been three years since Queen Kaerlia, my mate, brought these two amazing pups into the world. I am proud to be their father. A toast to the prince and princess!"With a raise of his glass, everyone in the room followed suit, their glasses clinking together in a heartfelt toast. "A toast!" they chorused, and the celebration continued in earnest. The twins, Alarik and Alora, looked at each other and then shared a grin. Alarik Xevekiah King, with his pure white hair and ocean blue eyes, was the firstborn. He was kno
~.KAERLIA .~I kept breathing into the paper bag as I could feel my insides churning. I was already nauseous and the day hadn't even begun.“I need another paper bag,” I mutter to Diana who ignores me and keeps massaging my shoulders. “Just take deep breaths, and calm down.” It was easier said than done.“The outfit is here!” I gasped, standing up from my seat as Laurel walked in with my dress in her hand. I smiled as I walked into the closet and Velia and Diana helped me put it on.The base of the gown was a rich, deep shade of royal blue, akin to the vast, starry night sky. It shimmered with a subtle luminescence as if tiny stars were embedded within the fabric itself. The gown was designed to flow gracefully around my figure, accentuating my natural elegance and poise. The bodice was adorned with intricate embroidery, resembling delicate lacework that mirrored the intricate patterns of frost on a winter morning. It sparkled with tiny crystal beads that caught the light, creating
~. .~With her new wings and reinvigorated determination, Kaerlia swiftly materialized to Crescent Hills. Hovering over Mobali's lifeless body, she channeled her newfound power and the grace of the Moon Goddess to bring him back from the brink of death."Kaerlia," Mobali whispered as life coursed back into him, his eyes filled with a mix of relief and devotion. With a warm smile, Kaerlia brushed her fingers across his cheek. "I need you and the guys to help me out."Mobali nodded, realizing the gravity of the situation. With renewed strength and resolve, Kaerlia soared toward Liliana, who was standing on top of a cliff staring boredly at the destruction she created. She confronted the demon queen, her fiery sword blazing with determination."Liliana!" Kaerlia's voice rang out through the chaos, echoing across the battlefield. Liliana turned to face her, a wicked smile on her lips."Ahh, little freak, you're still alive, and you got new wings," Liliana taunted, her
~. .~“Kaerlia.”“Kaerlia.”“Wake up.”As Kaerlia's eyes fluttered open, she found herself in a serene, otherworldly place. White flowers adorned the landscape, and ethereal trees stood with creatures soaring among them. The moon hung large and close in the sky, casting a gentle glow over everything. Kaerlia felt an overwhelming sense of peace, and her body was no longer stained with blood. She was dressed in a beautiful white gown adorned with delicate lace, her white hair flowing freely around her.A soft, familiar voice called her name, and she turned to find the source. Her eyes locked onto another pair of eyes, eyes she thought she would never see again."Mom?" Kaerlia asked with tears in her eyes, her voice quivering with emotion as she ran to embrace Khione, her mother."Oh, my baby, stop crying. You've been crying a lot lately," Khione comforted her, patting Kaerlia's back as she held her close."Mom, but I thought you were dead," Kaerlia said, her voice filled with
~. .~In the dark and eerie throne room of Liliana, the wails of tormented souls echoed ominously, creating an unsettling atmosphere. Mobali and the others, including Aidan, materialized in this sinister place, surrounded by the malevolent presence of demons.Liliana, seated upon her throne of skulls, greeted them with a chilling smile. Mobali's eyes blazed with anger as he looked at Aidan, who stood beside Liliana, his head bowed in submission.“Aidan, you side with her?”"He has no choice, Mobali," Liliana taunted, her voice dripping with wicked satisfaction.Mobali's gaze turned back to Liliana. "I wasn't talking to you, demon," he spat, his voice laced with a mix of rage and frustration. Liliana, being a demon herself, remained unfazed by his alpha authority, which would have affected a werewolf. As Mobali frantically scanned the room for Kaerlia, Liliana harnessed her dark powers. The ground rumbled, and Kaerlia emerged from a fissure in the floor. She was bound in si
~. MOBALI.~As I wake up, the bright light from the window hits my eyes. I run my hand through Kaerlia's side of the bed, but it's cold. I jolt, sniffing the room. Her scent has faded, which means she has been gone for hours, possibly days. How long have I been asleep?I look at the bedside table, and there lies a piece of paper. I pick it up and read its contents, "Dear Mobali, by the time you're reading this letter, it could have been days since I left for hell. I'm sorry, but I can't sit back and watch the werewolf race crumble. Please don't come after me, and I love you." I grip hard onto the piece of paper.Rising from the bed, I took a quick shower and dressed in my armor. Anger and determination coursed through my veins. I had to find her, I had to bring her back. How could she? How couldn't she see through Liliana’s plots? My heart clenched at the thought of her being dead already. "Guards! Open this door!" I roared, pounding on the unyielding brass doors. But the guards on th
