Chapter six

After work, i hid at one end of the building waiting for everyone to come out so that i could blend with the crowd, i don't wish for Edward to upset me today so the best option is for me to sneak home.

I kept looking back till i bumped into someone and fell.

"Where are you heading?" Edward asked and i sighed, I'm a coward for not being able to escape from this place without getting caught.

"I wanted to see my parents" i lied.

"Then why would you leave secretly?" he asked raising a brow.

"I... they...,i didn't want you to come with me" i said looking down.

"Why didn't you just tell me or are you afraid that i will offer you a ride?" he asked and i shook my head.

"Not at all" i replied.

"Okay then, let's go" he said and i wondered why i didn't refuse the ride..

I don't have intentions of going to the hospital yet cos my father's health state will definitely break my heart.

Now i don't have a choice, do i??

I got into the car and slammed the door with frustration, my life is becoming more and more miserable especially with Edward in it.

We drove to Edward's house instead of the hospital, what is wrong with him.

"This isn't the hospital" i said looking at Edward for an answer even though i didn't exactly ask a question.

"My friends are coming over so i want you to prepare something delicious" he said.

"And you're just telling me" i yelled letting out all the anger that has been building up since morning.

"What?, well there's enough ingredients in the kitchen" he said as the car halted in front of his house.

"Fuck you" i said and stormed inside the house, he's so annoying.

I looked at the boiling liquid in the pot with frustration, does our contract give Edward the right to turn me to his maid??

After preparing the food, i took my bag and wanted to leave when Edward stopped me.

"Don't leave yet, i want you to take credit for the meals" he said and i chuckled.

"So that's what all this is about, on impressing your friends" i said trying to hide the fact that i was hurt but again my body language betrayed me.

"Come on, what's the big deal" he said holding a bottle of champagne.

I took a deep breath and left the house without saying anything, he's so insensitive and can't tell when I'm hurt or upset.

On my way out i met Tori and the others.

"Hi" i said and hugged her excitedly, why didn't Edward tell me she was coming too.

"I was so busy today but i had to make out time to come when i heard about the party" Tori said and i went inside with her.

"I made something delicious" i said a little nervous hoping the food would taste good cos i prepared it in anger.

"Mnnnnn, why does it smell so yummy" Harry said and i chuckled .

I just hope they enjoy it, i could've done my best if only this dummy had told me it was them coming over.

"Because it's yummy" Tori said after taking a bite and i felt relieved.

" Let me get champagne and some glasses" i said and hurried to the kitchen but i bumped into Edward on my way.

"I thought you left" he said and raised a brow.

"I changed my mind, is there a problem?" i asked hoping he wouldn't suspect anything.

"No, others are coming too so you need to make noodles and fries" he said.

"Ummm, how many are they?" i asked hoping he'd say six or seven.

"Let's say....... seventeen or maybe twenty" he said.

"I need to get you a brain psycho, why don't you just go ahead and throw a Christmas party??, you expect me to serve twenty people or more all by myself?" i asked almost hitting him.

"Shhhh, the others might hear you " he said placing his index finger on my lips.

"Don't you shut me up, let them hear if they want to" i said snapping his fingers from my lips.

"Calm down tigress, that's why i asked Tori to come over " he said and handed the champagne to me.

"Fuck you " i almost yelled but decided to respect myself cos we had guests, we can finish this later.

I poured the wine in four glasses and handed it to Tori, Harry, Tom and Greg.

Why does he have to invite all his friends when we're not celebrating anything.

Wait..... did i just refer to Edward and i as ' we ' lolz, how ridiculous of me.

It's not like we'll ever get married or we're really engaged.

I am went to the kitchen and Tori joined me after some time, i really enjoy her company.

"So how are you coping with Edward?" Tori asked.

"Ummm, we're good" i replied with a smile.

"Edward is going through alot right now and you need to be there for him, he might look fine but deep down he's hurting" she said and i looked at her surprised.

I've always believed Edward is a man without problems judging by the way he's always fine and looks like he's worry free and cares less about situations or maybe that's what he wants me to think.

That's probably what he wants the whole world to think, i can't believe he's going through hard times.

"Okay, i will, but did anything happen to him?" i asked.

"He doesn't like talking about it but whenever he's in a good mood ask him about the night of 27th October" Tori whispered.

I became really curious, what exactly could've happened on that day.

I tried recalling if there was anything bad news that day but i couldn't recall anything.

I guess i'll have to look for a suitable day but today isn't one cos I'm already upset with him.
