“Pack your bags.”

Six years of not talking to her and this were the first words that came from her father’s mouth. She turned to look him in the eye demanding and answer. They had the same emerald eyes and jet black hair and it would feel like looking into a mirror. The only difference was how Felicity looked like. She was the exact height as her mother when Bruce first met her.

Felicity might have gotten his eyes but they she looked at him reminded him so much of her. Her body also took after her mother. Bruce zoned out and wondered what his daughter would look like when she smiled. His eyes stung. He turned around and began leaving. It was a bad idea seeing his daughter when he had not gotten over her leaving.

“Get to it.”

Felicity really wanted an answer but her father, through his actions made it clear she had no say in the matter. A few minutes after Bruce had left, Becky walked in. She helped her pack her clothes. For someone who was of noble blood, Felicity did not like anything fancy. She had simple clothes and almost no accessories at all. She had a countable pair of shoes that went with all the clothes she had.

She noticed that Becky was on edge. She touched her shoulder and she literally jumped out of her skin. Felicity asked what was wrong but she did not say anything. That confirmed her suspicion that something was wrong. And Becky had been gibe’ a gag order not to say a single word to her.

Becky looked outside. She saw a cloak by the balcony doors. She smiled and mouthed something. A tear betrayed her and she hid it fast before Felicity had any idea of her situation. After they were done, she carried her bags down the stairs.

Since she was attached to her room she went back to take a good look at it. She was somehow site that that was going to be the last time she was going to be there. The room was empty it it still held the warmth that had kept her sane all these years. The room that reminded her so much of her mother yet, helped her get over it.

Her hands gently slid on her desk drawer. She looked at herself in the mirror one last time. Felicity then headed to the balcony. Bruce stood at the door and looked at her. His heart ached and regretted the decision he had taken. It might have been for her own good but sending her 1way might not have been the best choice.

He wanted her close yet he treated her in the opposite manner. She was the one thing he was left with but with everything going on, her safety was his top priority. Tears slid down his cheeks. He wished Daisy hadn’t gone away so soon. He wished she was her to still protect her from this ugly world they lived in. He really wanted her to have the best. But now…

Felicity bathed in the sunlight. She felt at peace. She looked down at the shore. There sat the man from her dreams. This time however, he wasn’t looking out at the waters, instead, he looked right at her. Felicity was not scared. She smiled and waved at him. He tilted his head and waved back awkwardly. That made her happy.

Walking back into her room, she felt that mood. The mood to sing. Music, a world her mother had introduced to her. And the only things she had left her. It was a world she felt free. A world where everything could be expressed without holding anything back. And where everyone could listen. The song that played in her mind, echoed her feelings.

Her body felt lighter as she closed her eyes. Her arms were spread out while her legs tapped on the floor rhythmically, making her waist move amazingly. She looked at peace and as if no energy was being used. Her body moved in an angelic manner. Anyone who would have walked in on her would have stopped in awe. She spun around and changed the dance.

When the song came to an end, she was brought back to reality. Yet, she did not feel too bad about it. If things were always as good as they were when she sang, then, she would not want to come back down. She was glad she could taste it when she could. And that that feeling never went away. The lyrics of the song ran through her mind once more. Felicity was sure, they were meant for her dad to hear.

“I don’t know how I should say it,

In my mind, it’s every word,

That they don’t wanna hear,

I don’t know how they might take it,

Maybe you can take the pressure,

And make it disappear

Throw out the inhibition,

You make me feel a feeling,

That I’ve never feel before,

I don’t know if they’re gonna like it,

But that only makes me want it more

‘Cause I’m nobody but yours.

If it’s me, and if it’s you

And if out love is wrong

Then I don’t ever wanna be right

I don’t ever wanna be right”

Bruce was frozen at the door. That song was one only Daisy used to sing to him. Many were against their love at first but they soon came to accept it. Now her daughter reminded him of that. She was telling him that he was all she needed. And yet...

He was tempted to walk in and wrap his arms around her. He wanted to let her now how much she meant to him but alas, all was thought and never done. Bruce held it all in and left. These feelings that overwhelmed him were ones he did not want anyone to see. He cursed the day he woke up in this world. And cursed the day he brother was born as well.

He wanted happiness and a simple life yet, even that was unachievable. They took away his wealth and he was content. Took away everything under his name and he was still content. But, when they took away his wife, he could no longer hold back what he felt. He let them have it and took the reigns all on his own. What he did not know was that he was playing straight into someone’s hands. He danced the tune play by them. And they enjoyed watching everything unfold.

Bruce headed to his study, closed the door and broke down.

Night had fallen and she had put her to bed. Nothing out of the ordinary had happened. They had crossed paths with Jayden only once. For the rest of the family, she had not seen them. And as she had earlier been told, she did not need to report what she did to either thee batter or the mistress of this household.Thinking about the mistress made her body shiver. The chills she felt were yet to be determined to be fear or simple dislike. She walked to her room and leaned against the closed door. She heard the flapping of a cape but remained as she was. Felicity did not find any need in raising her head. She had been feeling some discomfort for a while but she did not know why.A hand was placed on her head making her twitch because she was not expecting it. Feeling cold as thee person withdrew their hand, she leaned in for more. Her body acted on its own but she did not resist. The hand was warm and not as cold as everyone else’s. He wa

  • FELICITY.    15. DAYS GONE BY.

It had been two days since that night and everything had gone smoothly if she had to say. She had managed to avoid the mistress of the house, the husband, the kids and any distractions in her work. Jayden had somehow warmed up to her since that night but she still felt incomplete like something was missing. She closed the chest she had opened and walked to her seat. She could consider herself lucky as she was given a room all to herself, food was provided and she could use the library if she so desired. She had stationed her seat by the window so that she could look out. The view from her seat was breathtaking no matter how many times she saw it.There was a huge tree right by her window. It wasn’t too close to inconvenience the light but it wasn’t too far either. It would shed its leaves as the wind blew by making the view spectacular. Holding her book in hand, she took a seat and placed it on her lap. She wondered what had happ

  • FELICITY.    14. ESCAPE.

  • FELICITY.    13. NO LONGER.

Someone walked in a slightly lit dark corridor. The light that managed to penetrate only illuminated the path enough for a little vision. The person kept on walking into things and walking while holding the wall. They had carried something that was important. However, after a while, the person began walking without any trouble.Once outside, Becky turned around to thank the person that had guided her. She opened her mouth to speak but only smiled in the end. It was a wise decision as it would be odd for her to thank someone other people could not see. She walked to the main house and someone followed her. The sound of a cloak flapping was heard as the person followed her.His feet never touched the ground. His feet were bare and clean. He was dressed in silver from top to bottom. One could not see his face or any other feature because his were covered in a long cloak and his hood was on. However, his hair was visible. At first

  • FELICITY.    12. THE BLANK.

The air was tense. He was seated in the middle of the room looking at the two who only glared back at him. He wondered what he had done wrong. His mind began thinking of what he chores were. If he had completed every one of them and his conscious was clear. He was sure he had done it all with a little more to show.Hailey sighed. She knew that look all too well. He was confused and was trying to figure out why he was in such a predicament. This made her remember the one time he was called by her. Time had passed by so much since then. She smiled to herself.Roger was still a fresh leave in her mansion. He was not yet accustomed to doing the work he could do now. Moreover, most of the duties he had now were ones he had added for himself through the years. He had been brought over by Felicity’s mother and his eyes were puffy from crying all the way. From the moment she set her eyes on him, she knew that he was indeed like h
