"No one can hurt you as long as I live.." Nicklaus assured her but that wasn't enough to make her calm down so he did what he knew was the only solution..

He simply pulled her into a hug...

"You can trust me okay?" He promised her and Annah simply pulled away from his arms and looked away...

She leaned against the window as she kept staring at the streets..

Nicklaus drove in utmost silence and the rest of the ride was more like a haze to Annah as she focused her attention on the window..

Annah had no doubts about Nicklaus protecting her because he'd proved it over and over again but she couldn't imagine life around supernatural creatures.

However when she thought about it she realized it wasn't that bad...

When she lived with her kind they weren't really nice to her so why would she need to bother about living with supernatural creatures? Maybe it wasn't a bad idea to live with the creatures.
