PORSHA POV
“I am done packing princess. We have to go now” Anne informed, dragging my luggages to the center of the room. I took one final look at the room's entirety, as a dull ache rose in my chest. “Anne I still can't believe, I am leaving this place. Gone to a land of no return” I said, tears pricking my eyeballs. Anne dropped the luggages, rushing to my side with a worried frown on her face as she took my hands in hers. “Don't think of it like that Porsha. Just think of it like you are getting a new family” She said with a reassuring smile, but the hurt in my chest only grew deeper. “But I am not gaining anything Anne. Leviathan hates me, and so does his mom, I'm sure all of his wives would hate me as well" I informed, as my eyes began watering. “Porsha try to be optimistic. So what if Leviathan, and his adopted mother don't like you, I am sure his mom would love a kind hearted soul like you” Anne assured, but all her words fell on deaf ears. “That is not going to happen Anne. I am sure Leviathan has informed her of our squabble, and she must probably hate me by now. I don't know what the future holds Anne but I know that I will be left to suffer all alone in Ember nest" I informed in tears, my heart heavy with grief. “Porsha lighten up. Look on the bright side, atleast I will be there and I promise to deal with your husband anytime he hurts you” Anne said with a straight face and I immediately burst into laughter upon seeing her minute structure. “And how do you intend to do that my knight in shining armour?” I asked in-between chuckles, a spark of excitement blossoming in my chest. She didn't understand my tease at all, instead she went further to suggest the most ridiculous thing, “Well, I could mix a little bit of concoction in his food that would probably give him a runny stomach” I looked down at her round face and could see every atom of seriousness. She wasn't joking she actually meant every word of it. I cracked up in laughter once more, this time wiping all loose tears as the pain in my heart became almost invisible. “What is so funny Porsha? I'm being serious and you're laughing” “Of course I am laughing you are talking rubbish. Tell me how do you think you can get away with such a crime. What if they catch you?" I doubted with a smile as I waved off her tease but apparently she wasn't done yet. “It's simple Porsha. I will deny the accusation, and tell him a cat did it” She voiced after a brief minute of silence. “That's ridiculous. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have cats in his castle” I informed in a bit to tease her further. “Is that so?" She exclaimed, as she beat on her finger nail quietly for a few seconds. “I have got an idea” She said with a smile, her face glowing with ecstasy, “What about, I blame it on a dog this time” “You know what stop thinking. I will deal with Leviathan myself. You are just going to put me in more trouble” I informed with a straight face. “Oh my goodness, Porsha you know I will never do that. Instead of me to get you in trouble I will happily take the blame all to myself” She said, her voice sharp as ever. “You better cause I will deny you like Peter denied Jesus, three times” I said, still maintaining my straight face and her face fell. “What? You would betray me like that?” She asked with a tedious frown and I nodded simply, “You know, you're a very bad person Porsha so you are going to leave me under the rain after I only got in trouble for you” “Point of correction. I didn't ask you to do anything for me” I said with a small chuckle, and a small smile broke on her lips. “Well played Porsha, when did you understand that all of this was an act?" She doubted, her eyes blazing with excitement. “When you acted all tough. You can't kill an ant to save your life” I informed still laughing. “Porsha that's different, ants are dangerous carnivores, they can ruin your day with one bite. You have to experience it first hand to know” She said with a frown and my laughter intensified, gosh I am grateful that she would be coming with me to Ember nest, else I would have lost my mind. “What are you two ladies laughing about?” I heard the voice of the last person I wanted to see echoed behind me. I turned and there she was, my mom holding a large tray covered with fine linen. The mere sight of her made my stomach crawl and my smile immediately died down. “Greetings my queen. I will take my leave now” Anne informed immediately, dragging my luggages out of the room in a bit to give us some privacy. “Good evening mother” I greeted, just for formality sake. She placed the tray on my bed before speaking. “I'm glad to see you're happy my child” She said with a smile plastered on her face. “Not for long mother, for I have been sentenced to a life of misery” I informed coldly, with red eyes. “Porsha don't speak like that. I hope you find happiness in your new home” She said, a look of concern on her face, which didn't move me even a little. Her hopes were void, there was no way I could be happy in a loveless marriage. “Whatever you say mother. I better take my leave now, my husband is waiting” I voiced in a bit to escape further discussion. “Wait!” She stopped me, taking out a pouch from the tray she brought. The pouch appeared to be filled with coins and an attractive blue notebook, the largest I have seen yet. “I got these for you, take it” She offered handing me the objects. “What are these for?" I doubted, a curious frown on my face, “You do not need to bribe me to stay with Leviathan, I am already his wife” “You misunderstand me child. I am not bribing you. I am simply offering you something I should have a long time ago. I knew you loved designing clothes and I had been saving, hoping to give you the money one you decided to open your own place but now that you would be doing that in your husband's house I decided to offer you them now" She said, her eyes beginning to water and my eyes widened. “I'm sorry, it's not much. I had to pay for the custom made book and it was quite expensive. I truly believe that you will continue to make me proud my dear, and soon the whole world will know the name Porsha Fashion..." She said, her voice bubbling with pride but I didn't let her finish before pulling her into a hug. I couldn't believe she cared so much for me, that she would sacrifice her own enjoyment for my happiness. “Thank you mom. I love you” I said with a heavy chest, a tear escaping my eyeball. “And I love you more” She said in tears as we pulled away. “Don't worry I will send you more, okay?” She assured wiping off my tears. “No need, this and your prayers are enough” I assure, with a smile on my face as I wiped off her own tears. “I will await the good news” She said with great excitement. “I think we should be on our way now. We don't want to keep your husband waiting" she added, and I nodded. We walked hand in hand out of the castle. Said our good byes, and went out separate ways, but when I got to my departure point, all the carriages were gone apart for a fabulous red carriage. Nonplussed, I walked to the Coachman and asked the question that plagued my mind, “What is going on? where are all the carriages?" I doubted, my voice rising with confusion. “They left for Ember nest my queen” He answered simply, plaguing my intrigues. “On who's orders?” I doubted, my voice thunderous. “My orders” A husky voice replied from behind, I turned and there he was, Leviathan with a smile plastered on his face. “Why would you do that?” I doubted my blood boiling with anger. “It's simple, I wanted to ride with my wife” He confessed, a shameless smirk on his face. ############## PORSHA'S POVI woke up to a particularly lovely day, the sky was the most beautiful shade of blue and the sound of birds chirping echoed through out the palace. “Good morning my beautiful queen” Anne's voice boomed through the room,A tray of hair ornaments and makeup in hand.I laid back in bed, a sigh escaping my lips.“What is beautiful about the morning Anne?” I doubted, feeling down cast.I can't believe it has only been four days since I arrived at this hell hole. It feels like forty. I honestly don't think I could endure this any longer. “Oh! Porsha don't be like that” Anne said, taking a seat next to me on the bed, “Think about all the things you have to be thankful for”I immediately turn towards her, a curious frown on my face. “And what am I supposed to be grateful for?" I asked with a raised brow. “Is that even a question?" Anne questioned with a nonplussed expression on her face. “Didn't you wake up today? You're still beautiful, you have Empress Helen on
THIRD PERSON POV Porsha walked out of the prayer room, her breathing off as she strided towards Anne with red eyes. “Anne let's go" She commanded, her chest still hurting from Leviathan's bitter words, who did he think he was to humiliate, or threaten her like that. She wasn't scared of him, at least not as much as she did before. “Porsha what is wrong? Did his highness do anything to you?” Anne doubted with a raised brow.“What else hasn't he done, apart from threatening to kill me,” Porsha informed nonchalantly, her tone filled with disappointment.Anne's eyes widen, her tone alarmed, “You don't mean it" “My goodness! Why would his majesty say something as terrible as that to you?"“Cause that is how he truly feels. I bet he only married me to establish his dominance" Porsha said.“What did you say to him Porsha?" Anne questioned, a frown creeping to his face.“Nothing" Porsha answered, her blood boiling with rage.“That's impossible. I know his highness might be
LEVIATHAN'S POV I flickered my eyes open to the rays of the bright morning sun, the thought of my confrontation with Porsha rushing into my mind.I tried rising up from bed but I am stopped by a tight hold around my waist, it was Serafin, the concubine I spent the night with. Originally, I thought of going back to Cassandra's room but decided against it, when I remembered yesterday was a Saturday, her weekly handy down day and for Cassandra nothing was more important than running the harem. If I did go there, I would have been cast aside. “Permission to enter, your majesty” A masculine voice boomed from outside the room, pulling me from my thoughts. The voice was so loud that it woke Serafin from her slumber.“Greetings your highness" She said, trying to brush her tangled hair with her fingers, but I am not in the least impressed, to think she used to be my favorite once upon a time.“Good morning Serafin" I responded calmly.“Who is that?" She questioned, her voice no h
THIRD PERSON POV Matilda's laughter boomed across the room, her eyes watering from excitement as she told her personal servant, the scene she just witnessed. “Velma you should have seen them. Leviathan was furious he even threw Porsha to the floor, and threatened that he was going to kill all of her relatives” Matilda informed still cracking up, as she wiped off a tear drop from the side of her eyelid. “Goodness! that must have been terrible for poor queen Porsha” Velma said, her tone laced with a sprinkle of pity.“Come on Velma don't tell me you suddenly pity that woman. I advise you not to, she got exactly what she deserved” Matilda informed, her eyes gleaming with mischief, “Now, that Porsha knows exactly where she stands in this palace, and that is beneath my feet”“You can say that again queen mother. Congratulations on your victory” Velma said, her voice bubbling with excitement, “This calls for a celebration don't you think. Should I pour out some wine?”“Yes Velma
PORSHA POV I sat infront of my mirror, a dull ache still residing in my heart after the incident tonight.“Anne do you think what I did in the ceremony hall was bad?” I doubted turning to face Anne. My mind recently have been filled with doubts it like I can't do anything right, anymore.“Of course not Porsha. Infact you should be proud after all you saved his majesty from certain death” Anne explained, her eyes sparkling with sincerity but I had my doubts.“But that's not what everyone else thinks Anne. Did you see the disgust on their faces when they walked out” I informed, as their disappointed faces replayed in my head. They all hate me and I was only trying to do the right thing.“There were just surprised Porsha. In any case they only walked out because his highness did that first” Anne assured with a smile as she took my hands in hers.“I tell you what, his highness will be here any second now to thank you” She added and as though hearing her words. The room announcer
LEVIATHAN'S POV Cassandra's laugh boomed across her room like a raging storm. “Levi that woman dealt with you without even opening her mouth. I could see the fear in your eyes, it was as though you were going to faint” She said, her tone laced with mockery that it sent shivers down my spine. “Cassandra please do not add salt to my wounds” I beseeched her, as I gaggled down a glass of red wine. My blood boiling with rage as I recall everything. How defenceless I felt when Porsha pointed that arrow at my head, and how she deployed it in the guise of killing a snake. Yes indeed she killed it but she equally injured my ego in the process and there will be consequences. “But I am not doing anything your highness. Queen Porsha had inflicted not just salt but pepper to your wounds with her little act of trying to save your life. I mean she deliberately broke your law but ensured that you couldn't punish her since she did it for your sake” Cassandra commented, an amused smile e
