Chapter 40: Jordan

Awaiting the officers, I find myself wondering, “What in the hell is going on?”

After a few more minutes, I finally hear the sirens in the distance and then feel somewhat better about the situation.  The problem is that it is extremely worrisome that they know where we live and where Jon’s friends do.  Just how long have they been tailing us and watching our every move?

Seeing the cop cars round the corner to our road, relief washes over me and then I notice something odd.  Down the road, there is a moving truck, and two men are sitting in the cab.  They are staring at me and as soon as they see the cops, they scoot down in their seats to avoid detection.
