Heidi Sanson is the type of woman who preserves herself to the man she’ll marry. Not until her cousin, Shamcey, brings her to the club to have some fun just to forget her problems for a while. But too much fun can lead into different kinds of enjoyment… or more so, problems. Heidi had a blackout after drinking the blue cocktail that the waiter gave her that night. The next day, she found herself in a hotel room, sleeping alone in a huge fluffy bed without wearing anything on her body—she was literally naked! There, she remembered some blurred scenarios of that night. Someone pulled her inside the VIP room. Instead of stopping him from kissing her, she’s too completely drunk to go against his sensual urge. She just found herself responding to the kiss of that stranger. That night was a mistake that she will definitely use as a lesson learned. But… What if that night is only the beginning of everything? What happens when she begins an entirely fresh career path to face the challenge that she walked away after that night? What happens if the new acquaintances who got into her life helped her to unravel memories that were long forgotten? Can she connect the dots to discover the hidden truth of her life?
View MoreJeez! Where the hell is that irresponsible girl? I can't take my eyes off that bitch for a second because I'm sure Aunt Rabiya will catch me in no time—especially if she discovers we're at a club.
I am so dead!
I am so messed up that I agreed to go having a good time with Shamcey. Because she told me to have fun and forget about my problems for a while. However, this is literally "just a moment." I barely tasted the whiskey for a second, and now I'm here like an idiot, seeking for her. She is gone!
This is my first visit to a place like this, and it will undoubtedly be my last. This is the worst night I've ever had!
I began to hurriedly roam around the club. I take a close look at every girl I pass by. Some people may find my actions strange at times. Well, it's kind of embarrassing. But it's far better than getting killed by Aunt Rabiya. She always trusted Shamcey if she’s with me wherever we went.
Right now, the surroundings were dark, with only chaotic disco lights serving as the light in it. The loudness of the music in this club almost deafened me. I wonder if anyone here is deaf. I came to my senses. Aside from the dazzling disco lights, I'm already tipsy. My surroundings are moving a bit.
She is so dead when I see her!
As the night deepened, the amount of individuals increased; screams and music grew louder right now. Girls are dancing like salt-sprinkled worms. Smoke from cigarettes is everywhere, which makes coughing so awful.
I glanced around at the girls who were vibing to the beat of the music. Trying to track down my cousin. However, there was nothing. I hadn't had the chance to touch an inch of that woman's hair.
Jeez.
My entire world seems to be whirling. I had no idea why I drank the freakin’ whiskey that my freakin’ cousin had given me earlier. I've never tried drinking alcohol. As in, I've never gotten drunk ever since. If only I hadn't been kicked from my position as a hotel receptionist. I sighed. My jealous colleague has just accused me. If that hadn't happened, I'd probably be having coffee peacefully on our balcony at this hour.
Adding to these challenges, my Mama's house has been foreclosed by the bank. I can't believe it. It saddens me more knowing that Mama passed away suddenly from her brain cancer. Then, this house—the only memory that Mama left me—will be added to these goddamn problems. Like everyone just leaves me as if I won't be crushed into pieces.
Why me? Can't it just be one at a time? I’m not powerful enough just to handle all of this.
I exhaled.
Even if the sun and rain hit me again, I will never come back to this place!
I found myself heading towards the VIP room hallway as I was just wandering all over to find the cousin of mine. I have to find her before my eyelids drop completely. I can't go home by myself. However, I found myself taken aback when a waiter approached me. The server gave me a glass of blue water. I'm not sure what exactly it's called. I just know it's alcohol. I gave a frown. I wasn't convinced if I should take what this guy was giving.
"For . . . F—for me?" I asked the server. Checking for himself if he was actually approaching the right person.
"Yes, ma'am. Someone ordered this cocktail for you," he said, raising his voice near my ears due to the loud music. I accepted and cracked a smile. Who would be covering this for me? Never mind; I'm drawn to the blue glazing that comes from alcohol. I've never seen it before. Better not to waste a blessing, indeed! Plus, it's free. “Are you sure? I won't pay anything, right? I don't have any money in my pocket right now," I clarified.
He grinned and shook his head. "Yes, Ma'am, don't worry. It is already paid."
"Okay, just be sure. Thank you!"
The waiter then disappeared completely.
Before taking a sip, I glanced at the blue alcohol in my hand. I grimaced slightly. It's bitter at first, but the amazing berry flavor soon prevails. I drank until it was completely finished. Now my entire body felt numb. Feeling dizzy, I may shut down my eyes at any time. But even though I was moving sluggishly, I kept searching for my great cousin.
However, I was shocked to find that I was suddenly pulled by someone. I found myself inside the VIP room. Someone swiftly leaned me against the just-closed door. As soon as I began to breathe properly, I fell by a stranger's kiss, which caused my eyes to widen.
I had no idea why I responded to his kisses. Instead of stopping him and asking for help, my mind shows something different from what I am doing. We kissed passionately, and his hand traveled to my rich chest. He wasn't satisfied yet, so he slipped off my red dress effortlessly. He cupped mine and played with my crown. I gasped swiftly as my knees ended up being weak. It felt like he gave me something to drink that would make me crave his kisses even more.
I'm not sure how I should feel. I want to have the chance to get angry, but I can't. It seems like I've known him for a long time. The way he kissed and caressed me seemed familiar. It's as if everything has already happened between us, yet I cannot recall it. Even though this is my very first kiss with someone, I feel like I've experienced it previously. Could it be the alcohol's effect?
I returned the stranger's kiss by taking off his polo shirt. I can now feel his six-pack abs. It was as if my hand had a life of its own, traveling to his abs and was swiftly stopped by the stranger. But it was too late; I'd already touched his first treasure.
I chuckled.
We passionately kissed again, and I felt like I had won the lotto. He fastened my hands to the door right over my head. "You're such a stubborn girl," he stated softly.
I couldn't help laughing. For some unknown reason, I pushed the man. In the playful light that went red and blue, I saw the face of the stranger I was going to kiss as I squinted and focused on clearing my vision. His jaw is flawless, as well as his nose is as sharp as the tip of a pencil. His eyes, which I couldn't figure out what color they were, made me swallow hard. He's handsome! I'm so lucky! I stopped appreciating the man's features as my eyes began to fall. It feels like my world is spinning. No matter how I fight it, I ended up totally closing my eyes while staring at a familiar stranger's face.
"How are you feeling?" Blue asked me anxiously. Concern was evident on his face as he looked at me."Heidi, are you okay?" Beatrice asked, her voice trailing off.I sighed and glanced to my side. Blue was sitting in the chair to my left, while Beatrice occupied the chair to my right. It felt like I was the center of their attention. At least I'd managed to calm Beatrice down after her earlier crying was so bad.I nodded. "Yes, I'm okay," I said. "I'm fine, and I did really well. It wasn't that bad. It was just a bruise.""That wasn't just a simple bruise, Heidi!"I was startled by these two simultaneous exclamations. It felt like they were so overreacting on this situation.I heard Blue let out a heavy sigh. He took his phone from his pocket and seemed engrossed in typing."You're not going to fire her, are you?" I asked.I received no answer from Blue. He ignored me, remaining focused on his phone. The way he typed, furiously, suggested he was angry, like he had an adversary.I plac
“S-SORRY, BOSS,” Ms. Anj naturally apologized to her conversation partner on the phone. “I didn’t mean to disturb Ms. Heidi,” she briefly glanced at me. “I thought she was talking to someone else. I-I know, Boss, I also thought she just made up putting your name in her contacts to sneak through. I didn’t think…”“B-Boss? Alright, Boss, I will give it to her.” After saying that, she handed me my phone, hesitating as she did so.“Boss…” I called as I pressed the phone to my ear.“I’ll send you a message about what you’ll cook. It’s two dishes, and I hope you won’t have a hard time,” he said. “I mean, if you can handle it.”“Alright, Boss…”“You okay?” He suddenly asked in the middle of the silence.“Yes, Boss, I’m good. It’s just that…”“You have a headache,” he answered.I furrowed my brow when he said that. “How did you know?”“I called Mr. Roy earlier, and he mentioned to me that you’re not feeling well,” he said. “If you can’t do it, you can always cook it next time—”“No,” I cut hi
"What's all this trouble?"Ms. Anjie was startled by Blue's voice. I looked up the stairs to where the voice originated. He was wearing his formal suit, his brow furrowed as he looked down at us in the kitchen."Hi, Daddy! Good morning!" Beatrice greeted her father cheerfully, then returned to watching her Barbie movie.Blue descended the stairs and went straight to his daughter. He kissed her forehead and gently inquired after her well-being before turning his attention to us."Why are you two clashing in my house? And more importantly, within earshot of my child? Don't you know how to avoid causing trauma to my daughter?""Sorry, Boss," I mumbled an apology."It's because, Boss…" Ms. Anjie hesitated, glancing at me.Where does she get the nerve to shift the blame onto others?"What, Ms. Anj? What about her?" Blue's face was serious as he glared at me. "What's the problem AGAIN?" He emphasized the last word."She let Beatrice have breakfast in the living room—""Heidi," he interrupt
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!” Blue’s voice practically echoed when he said it.Beatrice and I followed him; we were just behind her father. I frowned at the sight. It was Ms. Anj. She was standing there, facing Boss Blue.“Amanda, what’s she doing here?” He asked Amanda. But Ms. Amanda couldn’t speak. She seemed to freeze where she stood.“Good morning, Mr. Blue,” Ms. Anj greeted, bowing slightly. “I’m pleased to be back to taking care of Beatrice.”I felt Beatrice clutching my clothes. She came to me and hugged me. “Heidi, I’m scared…” she whispered, her eyes wide with fear as she looked at me.I gently stroked her back and offered a subtle smile. “Don’t worry, Heidi’s here,” I said, hoping to ease her fear.“What?” Blue shook his head, his brow furrowed at Ms. Anj’s words. “What is she saying? I didn’t ask you to come back here,” he added. My brow furrowed even more deeply when a man arrived. He was wearing a formal suit and faced Blue.“Good morning, Mr. Blue,” he greeted. “Atlas, af
“Mr. Convocar sent me a picture of your foot,” she explained. My brow remained furrowed. I was still confused, unable to piece together what was happening. “How?”“On Viber,” she said. “Yes, Mr. Convocar and I are textmates on Viber,” she boasted, showing me their conversation on her phone. My eyes widened at the news. “What?!” I glanced at Aunt and Blue, but they just laughed at my reaction. It seemed they were already close!“Anyway, as a thank you, would you like to have lunch here, Mr. Convocar?” Aunt offered to cook for them.“Believe me, I would love to, Mrs. Rabiya,” he said. He shook his head. “But I have a meeting to attend today, Mrs. Rabiya. How about next time?”“Sure! Next time, I'll cook you delicious food,” Aunt Rabiya said happily. It's a good thing she didn't get offended. Whenever someone refuses her offer, she usually gets upset. But with these two, why do I feel they're incredibly close, to the point that there's no awkwardness between them when they talk?“Can’t
Not because I don’t want to. But I’m afraid because I might fall for him even more. Then we don’t have the same feelings. While I’m falling in love with him, he has no feelings for me, only lust. And he can freely show that to me because we have history – that goddamn one-night stand. Maybe I’m just misinterpreting his actions. It’s not impossible. Because, why not? He’s a man–a single dad to be exact. He has no wife to fulfill his s*x drive. So I need to stop these feelings. I need to remind myself that no man like Blue – rich, successful – will like someone like me, who is simple and not as wealthy as them.“Alright, Heidi, calm down. It’s just one night, Heidi,” I talked to myself in my mind. “Just one night of enduring being with Boss Convocar in one big bed. After that, it’s over! After that, it won’t happen again.”“Good morning, Heidi! Good morning, Daddy!” Beatrice greeted us in a sharp voice. After that, I felt the bed move. When I opened my eyes, I saw the cheerful Beatrice
