Adira turned to bury her face into Jake’s chest as she sobbed heavily, both father and boyfriend helpless on how to console the little blonde.

They understood how much she cared for her sister, but to Adira, losing Kendra would be more than losing her sister; she would be losing her mate, and despite how much she protests against the mate bond, she doesn't want to lose her sister.

The mere thought of it paralyzes her with fear.

”Honey, we have to go,” their father said urgently when one of the paramedics informed him from the doorway that they were ready to go.

”I want to go with them,” Adira said in a firm voice, disentangling herself from Jake’s arms. She used her hand to wipe her eyes clean.

Her father opened his mouth to argue, but Adira was already moving, letting him know his opinion didn't matter.

He could order her to do his bidding as the Alpha, but her father felt it unnecessarily.

    Adira lays with her head against Kendra’s heaving chest, breathless from release. She not only feel satisfied but content as well. A feeling echoed by the brunette underneath hers, her calm heartbeat a soothing sound to the blonde. Kendra has her face upwards, lost in thoughts. She contemplating whether to reveal what Red said at the club or not. She fears the blonde’s hate, and doesn’t know whether speaking up or keeping silent is the best course of action.     Since Kendra left with few of their warriors to the city, Adira has been pacing the living room like a lion in a cage. She had tried to distract herself with Meredith’s baby, but as the day grew dark with no sight of her sister or the warriors that went with her her worry mounted. Her sister had told her where she was going, and though she was all for the rogue Alpha paying his dues, she worries that the Alpha they are paying a visit is not an easy man to deal with. “Hey!
