Ava froze.

The voice was so close that she could feel the speaker's breath against the back of her neck.

Her fingers tightened around the small black device.

Ethan moved instantly.

"Ava, get down!"

He lunged toward her.

A gunshot exploded through the darkness.

Ava screamed as Ethan pulled her to the floor.

The bullet struck the metal wall behind them.

Daniel fired toward the sound.

Another shot answered.
