THE MIDNIGHT WALK
EVA'S POV
Walking hand in hand with Alex under the star-studded sky would have been the most romantic thing to do. If only we were not desperately searching for the golden shifters.
It was close to midnight and the road was deserted. My plan of taking a taxi till the El Nina check post had turned into dust. With the recent turn of events, no one wanted to go in the direction of El Rosa. We were left with no option but to walk back.

If he was a normal human being, I could still understand. But, he was a powerful Golden Shifter, someone who is supposed to have immense power. Then, why was my mother left to die alone in the hospital? Couldn’t he have cured her with his powers?
