Jean stopped going down the stairs when she heard loud laughter. It seemed to be coming from the kitchen of her house. She finally got off and walked towards the kitchen but first she stopped by the door. Sister Minda and Emman were there. It looks like Ate Minda is teaching Emman to cook.

When Key was still alive, Sister Minda often taught them to cook. Jean took a deep breath to clear the sadness that was beginning to rise in her heart. She just kept looking at Emman and Ate Minda while they didn't notice her. She focused on Emman. The longer she spends with the young man, the more she notices his great resemblance to Key.
