The Last Fall of Snow I

We stopped in the middle of the forest. We stopped at a stone house, and it was alone in the deserted forest.

I silently scanned the abandoned looking house. The floor creates noise due to its fragility. At the entrance, we were greeted by a wooden door. Knight opened it up and let me come inside before he came after me.

"Whose house is this?" I asked.

Inside is the old equipment. Everything was there, the bed, the table, the scattered and dirty utensils in the kitchen. It appears to have been abandoned.

"We used to stay here when we were still young and wandering around the forest." he answered.

I glanced at him. "We?"

He nodded and avoided my gaze. I dropped my gaze to the floor because I got what he meant. He definitely misses his friends; not only is it obvious to him, but I know how fresh it is for him.

I was only with them for a while, and just hearing their story made me sick. How much more for him? For someone like him, who had kept it all inside for so long, they are the ones
