Mira POV

The second Klaus disappeared with the elders, I felt strangely empty.

Like the air around me changed with him gone.

I was still staring in the direction he’d left when Tae-jun stepped beside me.

“So,” he said, crossing his arms, looking way too casual. “While lover boy is off making history, you wanna come watch us wrestle?”

My head turned.

“Wrestle?”

Ugo grinned. “Pack matches. Friendly fights. Bragging rights. Shirtless men trying to throw each other into dirt.”

Aaron wiggled his bro

Klaus POV “It’s not hard,” Cherry rushed to say, desperate now. “We are telling the truth. He really did steal my watch.”“He didn’t,” Tina snapped, her voice full of fire. “I know him. Mr. Vale is not a thief. He told us he didn’t take anything, and I believe him.” She pointed straight at Cherry. “If anything, you planted it on him.”Cherry gasped like she had been slapped. “That’s a lie. I would never do that. Alpha Klaus, I swear I’m innocent.”I looked at her for a long second, then gave a small shrug. “I don’t believe you.”Bella straightened as much as her body allowed, her face twisting in anger. “This is unfair. You’re clearly biased. How can we trust your judgment if you’re already picking sides?”“Bella is right,” Linda added, stepping forward again, trying to take control of the moment. “You’re too involved in this. You can’t be the one to judge it. And besides, your parents already settled this matter. You should respect that and let it go.”I shook my head slowly, my gaz

Klaus POV I walked out of the medical center like a storm, my jaw tight, my hands clenched, my mind already building ten different ways to make certain people regret waking up today, because the image of Mira lying weak in that bed and her father bleeding on the ground kept replaying in my head, and every time it did, something darker woke up inside me.The night air hit my face, but it didn’t cool anything down.If anything, it made it worse.I spotted Tina, Ugo, Aaron, and Tae-jun a few steps away, and from the way Tina’s hands were moving fast and Tae-jun’s jaw was set, they had been arguing, but the moment they saw me, everything went quiet like someone hit pause. They all walked toward me.Tina got there first, eyes sharp and worried. “How is she? Is she okay?”I looked at her for a second, then sighed and rubbed my face. “What do you think? She’s alive, but she’s pissed. And honestly, she has every right to be.”Tina nodded like she expected that. “Maybe I should go talk to her

Klaus POVShe turned her back to me like I was a stranger, and that hurt more than any blade ever could. Mira had argued with me before, rolled those pretty hazel eyes at me, even threatened to bite me once when I teased her too much, which, for the record, was very hot, but this… this was cold. This was different. This was her shutting me out.And I hated it.It made something heavy press on my chest. For once in my life, Klaus Saint had no smart line ready.I moved closer to the bed and sat beside her carefully, watching her curled away from me, small and stubborn under the blanket.“Mira,” I said softly, “at least look at me when we fight. Don’t stab me in the heart with your back.”“Leave me alone, Klaus. I’m done talking. I want to rest.”Her voice shook even though she tried to make it hard.“But we still have a lot to talk about.”“And I said I don’t want to talk.” She turned a little, anger flashing. “Stop pushing me. I don’t want to say something I’ll regret.”That stung.Bad

Mira POVWhen my eyes snapped open, I had no idea where I was.For a second I thought I was dead.Everything was white curtains, strange smells, soft blankets.Too quiet.Too still.I pushed myself up too fast and pain shot through my whole body. My head pounded so hard it felt like wolves were fighting inside my skull.“What the hell…”I pressed a hand to my forehead and tried to remember.Nothing.Blank.Like someone had ripped pages out of my mind.Sky?I called inside.Nothing.Silence.My wolf never stayed silent. That scared me more than the pain.I pressed my hand to my forehead, trying to remember. The curtain flew open. And Klaus rushed in.Behind him came Aaron, Ugo, Tae-jun, and Tina crowding in like I had died and come back.Klaus was beside my bed in seconds.“Mira, are you okay?”His hands wrapped around mine.Warm.Too warm.“What happened?” I asked. My voice sounded weak.“You fainted,” he said. “Don’t you remember?”Tina moved closer. “Mira, are you okay?”And then—i

KlausThe second Mira went limp in my arms, fear hit me so hard it felt like someone drove a blade through my chest.“Mira.”I shook her gently.Nothing.“Mira, please, look at me.”Still nothing. Her head rested against me, too still, too pale, and for the first time in a very long time I felt something close to panic.Real panic. The kind that steals breath.Tina was saying something, words crashing into me in pieces. Linda. Bella. Mira’s father.Absurd.Impossible.The three of them were still snapping at each other in the background, voices sharp and messy, but I barely heard any of it.I had a thousand questions.I asked none.Because all I could see was Mira lying lifeless in my arms.Nothing else mattered. Her father was still on the ground too.I looked at Aaron. “Check him.”Aaron dropped beside the older man and pressed fingers to his neck.“He’s breathing,” he said. “Pulse is weak.”Weak.That word nearly made me lose my mind.I looked at Ugo and Tae-jun. “Take him to the m

Mira POV Linda stepped closer. “Move aside, Mira. Let him complete his punishment. Law has to be upheld.”I stood slowly.Every inch of me shaking.“If anyone touches him,” I said through my teeth, “I will kill that person.”Even my own voice scared me.Tina moved in front of me. “Who are you to give command here? Have you forgotten you’re a visitor too?”Bella gave a loud laugh, then grimaced because laughing pulled at her wounds. “Careful, Tina. You may be talking to the future Luna, not the fraud behind you.”Linda smiled sweetly. “Bella, don’t say that.” Then she looked back at Tina. “You’re right, this isn’t my pack. But my father, Alpha Dagon, is a close ally of your Alpha. Everybody knows how close Klaus and I are. This pack is basically my second home. And anyway the girls already decided he should be punished, so he needs to finish it.”“And that’s on period,” Bella added smugly.Linda lifted her hand.“Girls, you know what to do.”And like they had practiced this before, ev
