Selena Pov
It wasn't about living, it's about being treated like trash and your status thrown to your face at slightest provocation. That's my life. I have wanted a life of the elite, with servants and living in a mighty mansion but it's all going to be a fairytale. I became a thing to be played with and a bully to mess around with from higher ranks that seems stronger than me. That was my case, but this time it came a little bit different. I was a high born from a gamma bloodline but I was weak and pathetic as an Omega even at the age of 19 I'm yet to find my wolf. I wished I could do something to save myself from the humiliation and bullying. I could sense my mate even though I didn't have a wolf. I once thought my wolf was sleeping or something and still had this hope that it was going to show up one day. It felt like a punishment, if only the werewolf nature can't sense the others, I might be under the cover. My name is Selena Morice, a gamma's daughter and you can add weak and pathetic as my third name, I get that all the time. I have been rejected three times by prominent Alphas, one during the full moon ceremony. I thought I had seen my prince charming, he was handsome, we gazed into each other's eyes , charmed by the bond of mates just then someone interrupted us giving off my vulnerability. It could only be Calista, if only she could mind her business even for a seconds. I literally don't know why she hates me so much. Isn't it good she was better than me in all ratifications but always picked on me. Yeah and do you know the most annoying part, she was my childhood friend. We grew up together like sisters, never knew she bore so much hatred for me I never saw coming and she had vowed never to see me mated. I guess that was one of her vows because she was determined at it. She always showed up at the right time to tell my mates I was weak and pathetic but this time it wasn't as usual. I kept telling myself she was going to change but no I was wrong she hated me and I shouldn't show love towards her but then she was a beta daughter, a fine warrior and a beautiful beta to the moonrise pack. Just like the previous mate who rejected me, Damien the Alpha of my pack turned out to be my mate. Gratefully Calista didn't show up the day I found out he was my mate, she was out on a mission. I guess I could keep this one after all, yeah I was happy someone accepted me, the bubbles I felt deep down my stomach whenever I was around him, he treated me like a queen giving me a special place in the pack house but I set boundaries. I didn't get down on him yet, I wanted him to show me to the pack members that I was his Luna and mate. He understood and promised to do so. It felt like I was in heaven and all my bullies had disappeared. I enjoyed getting all my needs done by maids. I enjoyed the luxurious peace of mind of waking up every morning with no worries but that was cut short too suddenly. I headed to Damien's room to give him a surprise gift, to appreciate him even though I didn't have much to offer yet. I just want to be certain he wasn't going to reject me. As I approached his chambers, my heart began to beat so fast probably that was my first time going to his chambers. I didn't know what to expect. What if he decides to take me in his chambers since he can't resist the heat? Was I ready for this I thought to myself over and over again but another side of me was determined to make the move. Taking a deep breath to calm my nerves, promising myself nothing of such was going to happen. I knocked on his door but there wasn't any and I heard a sound. I was much more of a human than a werewolf. My senses weren't like other werewolves who could hear from a thousand miles away. I heard something shattering to the floor again, unable to hold back I pushed the door open. “What the hell!” I yelled as I saw Callista wrapped in Damien's arms, they were both naked on the bed. My stomach aches and dread fills my heart, grinding my teeth as anger rage through my nerves. They turned to look at me at once, distengling from each other. The gift I held on my hand fell off with a loud thud gaining more attention from them. “Selena what are you doing here?” Damian asked, trying to cover up himself. My head was bent low to the ground, glossed with tears as I couldn't watch them anymore. I had made a fool of myself again. An arching pain coursed through my heart. I thought I had escaped my nemesis but I was wrong. When did she come back anyway? Does she have any idea Damien was my mate? “I brought this stupid present surprise for you. How could you? I thought you were my mate?” I yelled like a breaking dam, the pain in my voice palpable with the sting of his betrayal. “My mate can't be a weak gamma. Come to think of it, what will other packs think of me having a weak Luna” I watched him say those hurtful words which pierced through my skin like a dagger stabbed through my heart. I was consumed by rage, pain and disappointment. “If you didn't want me, why didn't you reject me. Why do you make me feel important to you and yet you stabbed me in the back” my breathing was unsteadily as my heart went up and down in fear. I haven't been this bold in my life. He stood up from the bed and walked closer to me, my heart raced at the thought of what he might do to me. “I am the Alpha of this pack and no some Alpha's daughter doesn't get to speak to me like that” “I'm your mate” “Are you kidding me? You don't even have a wolf” I hate to hear that, rubbing my weakness to my face. “Then reject me” I muttered, I was done with the humiliation, I would rather live a lonely life than to be his mate under the walls of my room than to the people.SELENA’S POV Seeing Damien triggered a feeling in me. A feeling of pain and betrayal. I. loved him, and he was my mate. I thought he’d be the one to put me out of my misery, but I was wrong. He hurt me without looking back and now he’s here at my mercy. It was funny how I had all the power in the world, and everyone was at my mercy. I was once mocked but now I was nothing but a goddess in the eyes of everyone. As I closed the door to my chambers, I leaned back against it, exhaling a shaky breath. My hands were trembling, and the soft glow of my healing gift still lingered faintly in my fingertips. I had just done the unthinkable: I had saved Alpha Damien. Damien, who had seen no worth in me and tossed me out like I was nothing. My mind swirled with emotions—anger, bitterness, and the bitter sting of old wounds that refused to heal. Memories clawed their way to the surface, dragging me back to a time when I was nothing but a naive girl who believed in love. A girl who had given he
ALPHA DAMIEN’S POVThe once joyous and strong Alpha was now weak. I was known for my extra strength and enthusiastic abilities, but now I’m nothing but a weak man. I had no strength in me, and I was on my deathbed as the pain slowly ate me up. The pain was unbearable. It started in my abdomen, a searing, unrelenting fire that spread through my veins, igniting every nerve it touched. I’d been stabbed in a skirmish—an ambush I hadn’t seen coming. The blade had been laced with poison, a cruel concoction designed to cripple even the strongest of wolves. And I, Alpha Damien, now lay weak and vulnerable, clutching my side in a desperate attempt to stay alive. But it wasn’t the physical pain that hurt the most. No, the agony that tore at my heart and soul was far worse. Selena. Her name echoed in my mind like a haunting melody, a reminder of everything I had lost—and everything I had thrown away.It was a reminder of how stupid I had been. I had the best thing to ever happen to anyone wit
SELENA’S POV Once, I was the subject of ridicule—a wolf-less outcast among the pack. They called me weak, unworthy, a mistake of the Moon Goddess. They said I wasn't fit to be their Luna, and I heard them laugh at me anytime I walked past them. Their whispers carried like venom in the wind, stinging my every step. But time is a curious thing. It changes perceptions and rewrites histories, and today, as I stand before the gathered packs as Selena, the Luna Queen, with my baby in my hands, their reverence is almost palpable.I am no longer that girl they mocked. My healing gift, once hidden was now known everywhere. News has spread far beyond our borders, touching lives in ways none of us could have foreseen. The sick are no longer confined to their beds, the injured rise with newfound strength, and even the barren have been blessed with children they thought they could never have. To them, I am a goddess—a being of power and grace, undefeatable in both body and spirit.I was something
TRISTIAN’S POV I had made peace with her absence—or so I thought. Each day Selena was gone, it felt like a piece of me had been ripped away. I masked the emptiness with my duties as Alpha King, telling myself it was for the best. If she had left, then perhaps I wasn’t enough for her, and maybe she was better off without me. But that was a lie I told myself to survive. Deep down, I had longed to see her, and without her, I was going crazy. When Selena walked through the packhouse doors, I thought I was dreaming. I had imagined this moment so many times since she left, the hope of her return keeping me awake on countless lonely nights. But the reality of her standing there, alive and well, was far better than anything I had envisioned. The first thing I noticed was how beautiful she looked, even with uncertainty written all over her face. And then I saw it—a subtle curve to her stomach, a telltale sign of life growing inside her. My heart stopped, then raced. She was pregnant. And I
SELENA’S POV I never thought I’d wield this much power, but look at me. With the sword in my hands, I felt strong and invincible. Nobody could hurt me. Memories of me taking Josh’s head filled my head. I was surprised I had relief instead of trauma. Josh had taken enough from people, so he deserved whatever he was getting. He deserved it all. As for Seraphine. I made sure I visited her in the prison before Jason was given the poison which he’d kill her with. She looked miserable and weak. She thought she’d make my life miserable and end me, but destiny had other plans. I showed no mercy and made sure the right poison was given to her. She died a pathetic wolf, and her body was taken away by Jason to bury. I had gotten the revenge I wanted, so it was time to walk away from this pack and from Tristian, too. I needed a break after everything that happened, and also after finding out Tristian hid the truth from me for a long time. I picked up my bags and my mother and left the pack wi
SELENA’S POV I hadn’t planned to leave the packhouse that afternoon, but the urge to stretch my legs and clear my head was too strong to ignore. I couldn't bear being in the same house with Tristian. Seeing him every day without touching him was like torture to me. I felt like my heart was being ripped out of their body. He looked miserable. He was weak and fell to the ground, but I had a bigger motivation than Tristian.I had to go somewhere, a place where I’d be free and think about nothing so I headed straight to the woods. The woods had always been my sanctuary, a place where the chaos of pack politics and the weight of unresolved family mysteries seemed to fade away, if only for a little while. The towering trees and the earthy scent of moss felt like old friends, comforting and constant. But as I meandered along the winding paths, something shifted. A breeze carried a scent—one I hadn’t smelled in years but would never forget. Seraphine. My instincts just gave me her name. I
