Chapter 44

"Come on baby, let's get you to bed," Michael said as he lifted Angel out of the car and into the house.

"Can I play with Layla tomorrow?" Angel asked in her sleep and Michael laughed and began to climb the stairs up to her room.

"Yes you can honey but only after you get some sleep," Michael said. He kicked the bedroom door open with his leg since his hands were occupied because he was carrying Angel. She tightened her hands around his neck as he walked into her room.

"I made a new friend" She moaned and Michael nodded. He dropped her on the bed and then he took off her shoes before tucking her into bed.

"June is an Angel" She muttered and Michael couldn't agree less. June was an Angel indeed. Since she had come into their lives, things have been so much easy for him and Angel.

"I like her very much daddy, you like her too don't you?" Angel asked as she opened her eyes.

"That's right baby, daddy likes June too," Michael said with a smile. Angel smiled back at him before she closed
