Chapter Twenty-seven

"Should I call him?" Alexandria muttered as she paced around the room, staring at the phone in her hands.

She didn't want her boss to think she was nosy but she couldn't help herself, she wanted to find out what happened to that arrogant boss of hers.

" He's my boss, the big boss! Why would he tell me about his issues, I'm just a secretary," Alexandria said with a small frown.

'Ughh! Why is this so hard?' she groaned inwardly as she collapsed on the bed.

"Well, I will give it a try, he can't bite my head off from the other end of the line, can he? What's the worst that could happen?" Alexandria said with a shrug before dialing a number that was saved as 'JERK!'.

She took a deep breath as she raised the phone to her ear.

She bit her lips nervously as she waited for him to answer the phone.

"Hello, what do you want?" a deep and husky voice said from the other end of the line.
